Joel Clinton....

i wouldnt mind clinton on a one year contract.

im pretty confident that by this time next year either woods or one of the fifitas should be ready for firsts

How about Cashmere good size and offload and would be cheaper than clinton.Galloway and Cashmere two big boppers.

I think Cashmere would be a smart buy. He might not set the world on fire, but would a great signing when considering he'd come dirt cheap.

I can't see what Clinton would offer over Cashmere tbh.

We dont have to buy everyone….

Enjoy 1 more year of Brisbane JC

PS I think I would rather Ashton Simms from the Broncos

Ray Cashmere could be a good backup buy, that is if he still can plays as well as he did at the Cowboys.Joel Clinton no.
Some fair games for the Broncos, but overall had an inconsistant season in 2009…

At the right price. He hasn't gone great guns up in Brisbane and the Tigers don't have a whole lot of cash to throw at him, but there might be enough in the coffers to attract Clinton if he does want out of the Broncos.

We have too have at least 250k considering we missed out on Lima.

I wouldnt be using that 250k for Clinton thats for sure. Maybe if we got him for around 120k it would be ok.

nor would i be ….
he is a deadset creampuff whose best days were over 4 years ago .....he has big trouble holding the pill as well.....

So would I but I dont know if we could afford him.He might cost more than $250,000.

for the right price but surely ESL would overbid what we think he is worth. Was a good player 2 years ago, can't see him coming for the money the tigers are probably talking. rumors are hes going to england but not confirmed by any clubs yet (Hull has denied interest lately)

Passport deadline for Stosic
Thursday 19th November 2009

Wakefield have given New Zealand-born prop James Stosic until the end of the month to acquire a Macedonian passport or be released.

The Wildcats signed the former Gold Coast and Cronulla forward as an overseas player for 2009 but were hoping to get him off the foreign quota for next season.

The club say they signed Stosic, who is of Macedonian descent, on the understanding he would have a European passport by the second half of his two-year deal.

Wildcats coach John Kear said: "When James joined the club it was quite clear that he had to have a passport that would remove him from the existing quota limitations.

"So far that has not happened and, if he doesn't succeed by the end of the month, we will have to release him.

"Our overseas quota positions are already filled by Darryl Millard, Ben Jeffries, Glenn Morrison, Shane Tronc and Sam Obst, so we do not have any more places available.

"There are no problems between the club and James as we both knew what was required for him to remain with the club.

"We would like to keep James but, if he can't get his passport, then the matter is out of our hands."

If he doesn't get his passport I think he'd be good for a cheap prop option

Joel Clinton on brink of leaving Brisbane Broncos
JOEL Clinton is on the verge of quitting the Broncos after sounding out the club about the prospect of an immediate release to play overseas.
Following months of speculation, Clinton's career at the Broncos could be over within a fortnight after the former Test prop fielded three-year offers from English Super League clubs.

Brisbane chief executive Bruno Cullen confirmed the formal offshore interest last night. Clinton is off-contract at the end of next season but privately fears he is unwanted for 2011 after two indifferent years at the Broncos where his performances have failed to consistently match his price tag. The 27-year-old is Brisbane's highest-paid forward on $275,000-a-season

Article says it all.
He has no ball skills, poor hands & no step,so he gets smashed week in week out.Totally one-dimensional.
Modern props in this price range like Burgess ,Asotasi & co have some level of evasiveness & ball skills that make them a genuine threat when they touch the ball..not Clinton.
Weve got better kids coming thru we should be investing in rather than waste $$ on this guy
