This is where I think our attitude is wrongly headed and needs to change.

We see us having a great forward pack when we sign Paps, Klemmer and maybe Bateman.

It's wrong.

Cronulla see how they can build juniors and invest in their culture. Same with Easts.
Our focus is on who we can hire. We need to shift to "how can we train and develop better"?

I am hoping Farah brings the right culture with him. He sure has intensity and we love you Robbie. I still feel we need to be training more wrestle.
At the start of 2022, on paper many had us making the 8. We need to get our training and culture right because we can't rely on good signings.

Do the names Tumeth Matamua Kautoga Pole ring a bell mate

Gosh I hope he signs by Lunchtime. 🙄

Someone.said he's on holidays with team mates... Maybe the club are happy to wait for this to be the final main announcement before the Xmas break.... Torture for some

Or maybe it's all off...
No way will they show him off until hes in Australia in front of the COE. Two birds with one stone.

I believe they just hired a martial arts type,. This should help in the wrestle, holding down in the tackle and overall confidence and attitude. Also some specialist in passing techniques, which has proved of value to other sides. This professional approach shows the side is heading in the right direction.

How in the heck did we get to this in a Bateman thread? 🤔
It's magic, David Copperfield style
What's your opinion on Bateman 851?
I watched him in the world cup after reports he was severely out of form in the ESL, I thought he was good in the world cup, he was on the ball all the time, he will teach our blokes about hard work and will to win

Yeh I thought he was solid too. If there is a try to be scored on an edge you would expect him to be be there heh.
I'm excited at the prospect of him coming here.
If you look at all the signings thus far it resembles energy and Johnny certainly has a lot of that.
Such a contrast from this years sleepy side.
In all our years of failure, 2022 was the most dismal as far as fighting till the death. As soon as the opposition got to two tries ahead it was put down the glasses because the fight had left the dog.

2022 started with 5 straight losses, the side was flat from the get go, Madge killed them, hopefully lessons were learned from that disaster

You’re doing a good job. No my comment was more to do with the amount of focus on LB and how every thread inevitably ends up being a discussion about him.
It’s quite funny.
That’s what happens when you’ve got one bloke who won an award 5 years ago and 29 other nuffies in a squad.

Sharks don’t win a Comp without poaching Fifita, Lewis, Graham and Barba. In professional sport you need professionals.

Funny we've got 30 blokes in a squad but only ever end up talking about 3-4 of them....

That's how puss poor we are.

Fish and chips wrapped in newspaper for working class 🤣

I said Bateman will be dangerous on the edges or loose play, remember this try, not a biggy but sort of shows what I mean.
He got a scrapping try in the world cup semi verse Samoa, because he was chasing a kick
