Former Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles halfback John Gibbs has announced he has been diagnosed with cancer.
The 70-year-old, who played 81 first-grade games for Manly and represented New South Wales and Australia, revealed on Monday that he will be stepping away from his role with ABC Sport to focus on his treatment.
