The problem I have is that it’s allowing Souths to get LM. Without Johnston leaving they’d be unable to fit him under the cap (I’d assume).

My problem with that dissipated when it became clear Mitchell has no real interest in joining this club.

Pascoe, Maguire and the club are very clear in only wanting guys who want to buy in. Mitchell has shown no interest in buying in.

It doesnt need to be that precious, its up to us the individual to make of the rumour what we do.


The issue isn’t whether you believe rumours. It’s knowing they’re made up and still being ok with false information being shared. It cheapens the forum.


Imo what cheapens the forum is people trying to tell other people what they should feel or think.

Opinions are great but only if you accept other peoples right to take from the forum what they want to take.

I don’t tell anyone what to think, just telling you what I think from observations. Why would you want to encourage false information.

I suppose anyone can becomes a insider now days..... it doesn't take effort.... the first and last step to doing it is to simply copy and paste any and every bit of information relating to ur inside information into 1 article..... then get a catchy headline that says something like "Latrell GUARENTEED to come to tigers by Thursday".... and voila u r now the equivalent to "The Mole"

Basically the problem is people claim to know stuff, typically won't say how or why, and a very significant amount of it doesn't turn out.

Which makes you wonder, if they knew an old story but not the latest update, how close to the source are they really?

I can understand people keeping their sources private, but also they need to understand they are dangling sometimes annoying carrots in front of everyone else.

It just becomes a mess of people claiming to know things.

All I can say personally is there's only 1 person who legit and consistently has the inside info and that's THE_POM, and he/she is extremely judicious in commenting.

TigerTorch was a classic of balls-deep info but none of it could ever be ratified. It sounded so plausible and detailed that you think some of it had to be true, but it was never confirmed publicly - and would not be, because of the very specific nature of the info. And then abruptly stopped, like a snitch caught out, which adds aura and mystery to it.

white and Baze also seem to hear stuff and post it sporadically. willow and Geo also but they never say anything specific.

smoking gun and new smoking gun - all talk, about half of it right. Sounds legit but also sounds third or fourth-hand, hence why about half of it ends up wrong. People won't take you seriously if you are about as correct as guessing, and that's no slight against anyone or smoking gun.

Whereas me, I once met Keith Galloway's dad on the train, that's all I can say about insider info.

It doesn’t matter. If LM wants to play for Souths and not the Tigers, no point forcing him here. We would just be paying way overs for a half hearted effort.
