Neil BREEN on 100% Footy has said that the tigers are after Josh Mansour for season 2019 onwards. Parra and the roosters are after him as well.

What are everyone’s thoughts. I think that he’ll be a great signing. What are everyone’s thoughts on this potential signing.
 
Who is Neil Breen…?

Mansour will be a Rorter...was done ages ago...
 
He'd be handy for sure but I'll be surprised if he ends up a Tiger.

450 - 500k max for me. Not getting any younger and has had a few injuries now.

Let the Rorters have him for more - they can take the money out of Nick's fob pocket.

What he would want to leave the Panthers is to high for WTs. Also, with his injuries and not really being a speedster, we should look elsewhere.
 
His recent 2 major injuries would have to effect his asking price wouldn't it?

I would definitely be interested at the right price.

I will get grilled for mentioning it but when he was on the footy show before round 1 each person was asked who they thought would be a big improver this year and he said the Tigers.

Cleary seems to be a big draw card for his ex players.
 
Every player you sign carries a risk of injury. 18/26 games a season isn’t bad. Don’t know why everyone calls him injury prone. This face injury has nothing to do with previous injuries.

Would definitely take him, he’s a major upgrade on what we have got.

I think Cleary and Reynolds might help us with this signing, we also have the cap space. Don’t know where the Roosters would play him with Ferguson/Tupou?

Either way, i’d be happy to have one of their discards too lol.
 
Although I doubt we'll win a shootout with the Roosters, if we managed to sign him then it'd be huge for our RHS. Stranger things have happened though, maybe he likes being coached under Cleary.

'Cept it was reported that Gus wouldn't pay more than 450k.

They have some younger wingers coming through so they are not desperate.
 
I watched 100% Footy for the first time last week, can't stand that Neil Breen. I don't know if Gus looks at him with contempt every week, but I could understand why. What a peanut.

He used to be the program manager for the TODAY show?

Ruan Sims on the other hand, what a great ambassador for the game she is. She's measured with her comments but also informed.

My thoughts is that we offer him 400k and try to push Penrith's price up. Our real target is Cleary and we have 350K (I think) locked away on NOFO for awhile.

But if Penrith are going to ditch him anyway, let him go to Parra? (huh? why are Parra after him unless Jennings is leaving) or Roarters. He would be a great asset on the back line, even with injuries. I just can't see us affording him and not being squeezed above the cap limit.

Thats fair value for an ex international standard winger who doesn't play any other position….unless theyre a genuine game changer like Semi or possibly Israel Folau
Mansours injury conerns wld inhibit most clubs from paying any more than this ...except for Easts of course.
His best years were under IC,so maybe...?
