This will be your last season unless you greatly improve the team's defense.

He has survived two pretty ordinary seasons so far. **Personally I don't care if we are the best defensive team in the comp unless that also means we make the finals at the very least.**

I hope he gets sacked if we have another underperforming year but I don't think that he is definitely going to be given the sack. I also don't think he would now stand by his stupid comments regarding fixing the defence being as easy as just waving his hands ala the Jedi mind trick.

Yeah losing 8-2 every week would be even more depressing than what we've been watching for the last five years. But I suspect if we did become the best defensive side in the comp (which, well, hmm - it's nice to dream) I suspect we'd be a pretty damn successful outfit.

I think you will find our defence is reasonable if we complete at >80% and crap below that. Defence is much easier when you have the ball and field position….they go hand in hand. Analysis of defensive stats without looking at time in possession if misleading.

All true but some things were obvious. Moses poor defence under pressure coupled with Kev's total inability to read defensive situations meant teams attacked this channel with success all season.My view is Idris is a low cost option . He is a similar risk to Sticky buying Dave Taylor, probably worth a punt for one year. We need another centre who is a proven defender. A bit more size in the forwards would not go astray as well.

You dont miss the finals if youre the best defensive side

And you can put the best structures in place as well , but bad defenders are bad defenders

And on either side of the ruck we have major weaknesses in the key defensive positions

Unless personnel changes are made , don't expect big changes in us defensively
