Clubs priority during the bye should be in discussions in locking down Junior Tupou ASAP. On the market for 2025 as of Nov 1 + no doubt will already have Aus rugby sniffing around again.

There was some talk post game Saturday that Reuben Cotter told Tigers that Junior was the hardest player to tackle he’s come up against. Not bad for a 20 year old winger.

I agree, great talent with the ball, already better than Nofa in many parts of his game. His decision making in defence will improve with each game.

Tupou (I don’t need a forward I’ll hit it up myself) was great to see setting an example for the rest of the team, come and follow me.

From what I have seen of Tupou in recent weeks, I would like our coaching staff to work on his aerial threat using his physical attributes. I feel he is too passive/hesitant atm both with attacking crossfield kicks & defusing bombs.

Tupou looks a shadownif the player from a couple of months ago. He's second guessing himself every time he touches the ball.
Just keep it simple bro. Catch the ball and run hard and straight. Don't pass the ball

So many games he was a bloody turnstyle. Made Nofo look good in defense and that's an effort.

I actually think you can carry this type of player. Newcastle have Greg Marzhew and are doing well. Marzhew is a known smooth brain defender. He more than makes up for his bad defensive decisions with what he does with ball in hand. I haven't been paying close attention to his side defensively in this run that Newcastle are on, but it seems that they are somehow covering for him.
