Justin Hodges

Just back from the game tonight and although he craved us up feel he needs his own thread.

When Moltzen went down and the Broncos were rolling down the field on the attack. He saw Timmy clearly in pain and stayed with him, showing concern and trying to call one of our trainers.

In the past I haven't really had a high opinion of this guy but that was a class act and deserves some praise

A bit off topic but I thought that Lawrence kept him relatively quiet when he was on the field. I have never liked Hodges much but he has seemed to mature a bit in the last 12 months.

are you serious ,Lawrence non comittal helped the broncs get their first two tries .Lawrence hasnt been the same since his hip injury and im sorry to say , he isnt a first grade centre anymore .

Well Hodges did really carve up when Thompson was defending on him in the second half. Lawrence wasn't solely to blame for either of the first two tries. In the first he stayed with his man, it was Moltzen who got caught out of position. There were a number of players who were at fault with Broncos second try.

He was a couple of classes above just about every player on the field tonight. Even on old legs he is still good.

I thought this thread was going to be started over the fact that Hodges broke our hearts with that final try. But if he did what you said, yeah that is definitely a positive.

Big deal ,give him a box of chocolates .Hodges was the difference between both sides , if he dosent play we win , as simple as that

Made the same post on another board, thought he was in the Matia stakes before but take my hat off to him after tonight, best player and best sportsman

Do our players not study video of their opposition during the week? EVERY SINGLE TIME Hodges will step inside to beat the defence, he never tries to beat them on the outside with pace. It was nearly laughable that we never picked up on this and he must of beat 20 or 30 of our defenders in this fashion.
Great player for sure but you would like to think our players and coaching staff aren't that dumb. Wishful thinking maybe.

He showed some genuine concern and stayed with Moltz whilst trying to bring it to our trainers and the officials attention which seemed forever. Love to have him at the Tiges .

I'm another that has never liked him. But he was fantastic last night, and deserves credit for the concern he showed to moltzen

Absolute champion player. He plays the game tough and has always been the type of player that always stands up for his teammates. Considering Inglis is a fullback now. Hodges is easily the best centre in the game.
We win if he doesn't play last night.

Someone earlier today said he had old legs….

I wish our players had old legs like that

That was me mate, but he's also smart and has adapted despite losing a couple of yards of pace over the years.
