Very impressive yesterday afternoon.
Bamboozled the defense with his runs.
Can some please inform me why he wouldn't be in first grade next week.
I just haven't seen enough of him - so your expert perspectives would be appreciated.
Cheers.

Anyone who gets to see our state cup team run around will tell you that Hitchcox deserved a chance at the top grade and would not let anyone down. He is quick and got a very good football brain. I doubt he will get a call up, but he would be my first choice for the vacant no1 job

I am a huge Jy fan. Have been singing his praises for two years.

Was good yesterday but the easy bomb he dropped, albeit in very windy conditions, weakened his case for first grade next week.

I thought he danced around a bit but not until late did he make a lot of ground. Austin on the other hand did an amazing job and will surely secure that role.

Easy bomb? What game were you watching . The goal posts were blowing around like twigs. One bomb Moses put up was blown backwards. No easy bombs in that wind. Hitchcox has been in great form last few weeks. Had a hand in 6 or 7 tries against Wentworthville a few weeks ago. Never got the ball in open ground yesterday he has speed to burn.

Could play him at centre if Austin stays at 1\. Isnt that where he's been playing the past couple of years?

I would give the kid a go or Moses who has played FB before in lower grades.
I like having Austin on the bench and knowing that we have a guy there that is a footballer that can cover any position and plays to what what the coach wants him to play.
Austin adds more value at this coming from the bench.

Austin at 1 would not faze but the comment about being a footballer and adds of the bench rings true.

Wouldnt be surprised if Potter calls him aside tomorrow at training with good news….he likes picking like for like

I dont think he is a first grader. Id be very surprised if Potter went outside the fulltime squad for the top squad also.
