after I decided to put on a surcharge for them…

no mate, my kitchen at home. The Wife is Iranian and I'm pretty handy on the pans also!

Actually among the best/tastiest kebabs I have had were a small little cafe near Granville TAFE in late seventies. The mice ran around the floor but turned a blind eye to that. Just as the owners eyes were popping out of his head due to some bong he would draw back on. The spine was bbq lamb cubes.

Best kebab in Sydney is Fully Tabooly at Pemulwuy. Make their own bread and everything. They've got a celebrity wall. Vanilla Ice is one that I remember off the top of my head.

Not really familiar with Iranian food. Are the Persian dishes much different from Arab food?

alot depends of regions etc, but its all peasant style tasty food. While the meat choices are different, its very much as good a traditional french meals… I remember one morning I woke for Breakfast to Sheeps Head, brains and tongue included. Was brilliant!

Kebob is also really yummy from the BBQ. They marinate the meat with onion for 24hrs and its cooked over coals. Slap it in a flat bread topped with some herbs, and you have the best street food!

Sweets are the BOMB!

Not a fan of middle eastern food, I prefer Italian. Give me Pizza or Pasta any day. Mate of mine generally has 3 pizzas in 1 sitting or 4 at a push but I'm lucky to get through 1.

My next door neighbour more than half a century ago used to bake her own Lebo bread. Whilst the meat and onion on skewer was cooking over coals she would momently take off the fire and squeeze with the bread catching the juices and making bread black from charred meat. How tasty that bread was.
