You could well be right, not being privy to any real info other than what we all read- mostly rumours and gossip from media who I imagine have less idea than fans half the time.

In light of Luke's experience prior to signing an NRL contract, they wanted him to assist Josh with mowing duties at Brookvale Oval or whatever the place is called this week.
Kelma actually signed with Manly for almost half that price at around 250k per season, rather than the 500k reported by someone on here.

Ignore losers mate.
If this is true the. We have really dropped the ball here. If $1m over 3 years would have got him over the line, I can’t believe we didn’t make that offer. Sad.

Yup. Cannot believe we are losing this guy.
I don’t think the tigers had an opportunity to make another offer though because it sounds like he just signed with Manly straight away without telling Madge or anyone at the club.
By the way just in case you were wondering my source is from a mate who’s involved heavily with Manly. He gets a lot of the inside news on contracts and that kind of stuff and he also reported it on silvertails recently.
If that's true - He didn't want to stay....
That said, You can appreciate his perspective, They've got quality, big quality all over the park...
Also said, They've got some very good back rowers on the up he'll be a ways down the pecking order.
I think they offered 3 years and we only offered 2 as well. Not sure where I read that though s

That’s true… and it’s an offer upwards of 385k… honestly think we should’ve dipped in to beat their offer.
and who told you this? It's definitely not 500k that's for sure.

Look, my source isn’t "a bloke who’s involved with Manly" hahaha, also Kelma really turned his back on us after first offer. Notice you haven’t mentioned that significant factor?

And 500k is nowhere near 385k
Also I’m not the member who initially quoted that figure!

Also nowhere near 250,000. Different leagues
I was just simply asking who your source is but you haven't provided me with one. And yes i know Kelma turned his back on the tiges after the first offer, I never said he didn't and I'm not trying to defend him. He clearly wanted to leave the Tigers as he didn't even bother telling Madge or trying to negotiate a deal further before signing with Manly. I just wanted to inform the fans on here that the initially reported figure of 500k was incorrect.

You are correct mate.
Didn’t mean to come off disingenuous but that figure I’m fairly sure came directly from the others spruiking these rumours, which no doubt also impeded us!
Possible that it’s slightly lower than 385 too… at this stage the ink is just barely dry

he actually signed for 1mil duh, us tigers fans exaggerate everything so we feel better, it's just science. He's been told he will get a starting edge spot if he trains hard, 250k I think not. my theory as a certified nut job is that you are in fact kelma!

Think he'll have the same career path over there as Aaloia/Sironen/Paseka. etc..interchange bench
If the $$ are even close to true,he shld take the $500k and run...but defending it will be a challenge...as defence is his problem, and Des has no tolerance in that area
If I was Madge he wldnt command a run on spot unless theres injuries as hes no better than other forwards (Seyfarth)who are committed to WTS.Thats the way it works at most clubs(ie well managed clubs)
