For mine this game will be decided by the battle up front…

Galloway V Shillington
Payten V TLL
Ellis V Picker
Gibbs V Harrison
Heighington V Fensom

then Fulton, Dwyer and Fifita off the bench against Thurling, Tilse and Logan

The Raiders rely heavily on rolling teams up the guts...Stop their go forward and they tend to panic...Wests Tigers need to match them in the middle .......if they do that....Farah and Marshall have the class to finish them off...

BRING IT ON!!!!

Isn't it generally "stop the go forward" for every rugby league game?

But i guess it does apply more to the raiders wuth their monster pack. I was intimidated, just looking at them at Leichhardt…

Last week their forward yardage was poor with only Shillington & Tilse making over 100 metres (128 & 105 respectively).

Harrison & Fensom were next best with 82 & 81 metres each.

Learoyd-Lahrs only made 62M and Logan 32M - so their big men were not all particularly effective.

Picker with 30M and Thurling 48M rounded them out!

Those figures are far from impressive!

Well…just watching their game on Fox now...and for the first 20min the have steamrolled the Panfers...12 all and both Panfers tries have come of the back of penalties...

the panthers defence was retreating all game - allowing the roll-forward - but the numbers don't lie.

without Shillington they'd struggle as LL needs to follow him - and still struggles to make really big numbers! In total their team made only 1163 metres to Penrith's 1280.

Their back-row is tradesmanlike - with Bronson being the stand-out ball-runner!

Wow…them stats dont lie....how did they win

It was more about if Wests Tigers pack aim up we win just like the previous encounters with the Raiders...

I agree about stopping the "go forward" but I think it will be about taking chances and converting into points. For so many games, we have created chances but we just manage to screw 'em up right before the tryline. Hopefully, we convert these chances into points.

That is so true tig; the tries we have butchered over the past 2 months - just incredible.

Agreed must stop their go forward, our packs role in this game is critical to give our attack any chance. I recall watching Sauce absolutley smash Shillington in a tackle when we played them this year, I think it was after SOO 3\. Hope that can be repeated many times over.

I missed that one - unfortunately I saw Shillington smash Sauce!
