I know it was only 9s but you can tell Newcastle have very little respect for us. And nor should they. You can just tell in their eyes and the way they play they know when things get tough the Tigers won't stand up. Teams like Manly, Canterbury, Easts and Souths also have that feel about them when they talk about us and play against us.
I remember Brian Smith of all coaches taunting us in the media, saying he knew exactly how to beat the Tigers. Its humiliating when your club lacks repect, but I don't think we have really earnt it over the years. By and large we are considered soft and that hurts.
Hate to have to agree but you're on the money.
Hopefully, given the chance, blokes like Paterson and Gavet won't take a soft approach.
The guy everyone has forgotten about who WON'T take a backward step is young Nathan Brown.
Unfortunately injured but can't wait for him to get another crack in the top grade.
I knows he's aggro and sometimes over the top and has already been told to tone it down by the coaches- but that's what we need!
Until he gets a bit of experience he will give the odd dopey penalty away but I'll take that for the starch he'll add up the middle.
Bring it on Browny!
