Koro in talks with storm

In the smh today said he is talks with the storm i hope this not true,we could regret this long term. At this time we have one winger on one leg and we don't have a lot of option other than Koro we need to keep this guy.

He needs to come in and Lawrence out,no wonder he is shirty,he deserves a go.

At least bring Koro in for the next match and have Lawrence on the reserves bench where he can cover centre, wing or second row.

It was bound to happen. That much potential can't sit in NSW cup forever.

Potter is bananas if he decided to let him go, Richards is here for what 1 year max after this one? Nofa is currently on 1 leg and has shown to be as much of a defensive liability as Koro, and we don't have much else after that. We should really look to resign him soon. His defense has improved imo and his current attack is blistering, which is what we need in first grade!!

we do have options like rowe/simona to the wing if one of the wingers get injured but agree that koro has a lot of potential- hope we dont lose him.

He will kill it at the storm if he does end up moving clubs. Sisa waqa went down from the roosters a far inferior player to koro and is now one of the best defensive wingers in the comp.

Is Sisa Waqa Fijian by any chance?

I really hope Potter reads the writing on the wall. I'm hugely against Nofo moving from the wing to centre, but if it is to keep Koro at the club then go right ahead.
Even if we had to do:
Tedesco
Koro
Nofo
Simona
Richards.

Eventually Richards will retire and Koro and take the left wing spot and if Lawrence shows improvement he can move to right centre.

Koro has to what's best for himself.
If that means changing clubs to bring out the best in him, then so be it.

When I posted on the Tigers coaches night I was debating whether to pass on this information. Now that it is public (SMH) I can confirm that one of the players mentioned that he thought the Storm were circling Koro. I believe he would know. Read my other post if you want to connect the dots

I'd like to see him re-signed, but the little whispers floating around suggest he's as good as gone unfortunately. I think we'll regret this one has he really is a fine finisher and has improvement left in him.

Imagine how much improvement Bellamy will get out of him. Add Cronks kicking game and there is a devastating combo waiting for merely a signature on a page.

I remember the same being said about Moors

He still needs to learn how to tackle

Wests Tigers put themselves in a huge rut when they extended Lawrence's contract making him one of the Tiger's highest paid players for the next couple of years. Since then Lawrence has really lost form but still keeps weekly selection in first grade some would say because he is one of WT's highest paid players. Unfortunately this is the obstruction with signing new and existing talented players. Wests Tigers somehow, and embarrassingly, got away with it on Tedesco but it won't happen for a long time again until there is a solution to the Lawrence predicament.

He was offered a five year deal and two weeks later dislocated his hip…before the injury he was looking likely to be an Origin & Kangaroos centre for years.

The danger of long term deals.....I saw posts not long ago urging WTs to sign Woods up for a decade.!!!

Does anyone close to the club know why Koro seems to be on the outer here? I thought he would've been given a chance in the top grade by now, considering his impressive form and the lack of depth in our three quarters. I'd hate to see him go to the Storm, I still really think we need him here.

I really hope we don't lose Koro but something tells me there might be still be some salary cap pressure for next year.
If he is going then hopefully we have another signing we haven't heard about yet. With question marks over Lawrence's form, uncertainty with Fulton's future and Anasta's retirement do we need to bring in some experience?
