Kurtis Rowe

He was shit.

Like he has been in all bar two performances in any grade this year

For some reason Lulia defended the same way, 20m in from the sideline. Take a tip wingers, STAY ON YOUR WING

We play a compressed defensive line. Dont blame the players for doing what they have been told to do.

If lulia stays on the wing then they just run through the massive hole between centre and wing

Not every situation is man on man. At times a hit defence is required then your inside men become the cover defence. The only requirement though is that wing/centre who comes in MUST make the tackle

As I said last night the defence lacked commitment all night and there was absolutely no talk

At least the NYC side showed some heart and kept the talk up all night despite everything

Smeg you said the same thing about him before he made his NRL debut and in my opinion you were proved right. He has not been up to the standard of our other young guys.

I'm with coopy and smeg, he tried hard at times but was found out terribly esp trying (and failing) to cover the Wright/Moga combination.

Let us recall that Wright is a semi-reject from Sharks and Moga was released by Roosters after constant injury, made to look like a Folau/Inglis combination by Simona and Rowe.

I love how we have gotten behind him but Rowe is not up to first grade standard at all.
He has had many chances but has shown little offensive skill, no defensive capability and virtually no potential.

Kind sentiment is one thing, but considering him to play any role in our team whatsoever is a concession that we are a b-grade team and a vote for mediocrity.

The poor bloke got no quality ball and was being Targeted by Thurtson all night, cut him some slack. He went well under the circumstances, he was one of our best and you can not expect him to play like GI in his 4th game.

Blame our ridiculous defensive structure, first I have heard of this rubish where the winger comes 15m in.

This kid is going to make a great player.

Have to agree with most of the others - Rowe is not yet at NRL level. He is definitely not a winger- the Cowboys outside backs made him (and the rest of our backs) look awful. It was like men playing boys! Also Rowe still doesn't look capable of matching it with any of the NRL fullbacks in attack or defence. I can't see him saving tries with desperate defence, rolling guys over on the line or cutting down rampaging forwards with a copybook round the legs cover tackle (as for Moses at fullback - his defence is non existent, he may as well be a cardboard cutout!)
Fullback is one of the key positions in the game - the best are not only scoring tries and saving tries but setting them up as well. If we all weren't so protective and loyal to our young guns and looked at them objectively, we would have to admit that in ranking NRL fullbacks Rowe would rank close to the bottom of all 16 teams. Ergo - the Tigers need a fit Tedesco at fullback.
