The guts this bloke has to keep having another go is amazing. I've done mine twice and I'm to scared to run now lol.

What's it feel like to have done an ACL brk54y? or for anyone else on here who's done an ACL for that matter.
I have an understanding from the body's perspective of how the ACL works and fits in to human body, just intrigued to hear what it feels like first hand when it happens? Have had probably half a dozen mates across cricket, soccer and league who have done at least 1 and they all say it feels as though your knee is falling apart and has no stability.

It's different for everybody mate and depends on what damage you do to other cruciate ligaments ,medial ligaments ,meniscus ,dislocated kneecap etc when you do the ACL

Most people would agree that there is a sharp pop when it goes and instant pain to the area Strange thing in my situation within 20 minutes mine felt pretty good and I was trying to convince people I was OK That was until I tried to do something and fell in a massive heap

I also had a 70% tear of the PCL and tore the meniscus up pretty badly

I don't know how old you are , but the older you get the more dramas you have afterwards as well

The pop and the feeling you'll be alright until you try and do something is what I've heard people say.

Sounds like a pretty bad thing to have happen you to you so kudos to people who've done them and come back, be a tough grind for your everyday bloke who isn't a professional.

Cheers for the reply HT. Enjoy reading your posts and your insight.

You don't know the half of it Rparto

Got blood clots 10 days after surgery , ended up with Lymphedema/Lymphangitis which the blood clots were masking and didn't get picked up until 10 weeks later Lymphangtis has to do with the body not being able to get rid of the toxins in your body and can cause your bottom half of your leg to swell to double or triple its normal size

6 months off work and had the knee /leg straighten under surgery as it had basically locked up because it couldn't be moved and I had to stop the physio

Had another Lymphangitis scare just before the 2 year post surgery

Have to watch getting the smallest cut / even a pimple/blister as this thing kicks in the minute you get an infection
