We probably won't get him, but again, we extended Thompson's contract, he's doing a good job at fullback. We have an Australian schoolboy fullback tied up for another couple of years plying his trade in Flegg, and we've supposedly had a handshake deal with Nick Meaney from the Knights, so I don't see the point of Coote, he's the most expensive option out of those and I don't think he's the best option. Plus we have enough midgets in our backline.

The biggest downside to Coote, is his body has taken a smashing over the years and he spends a lot of weeks in rehab. No doubting his courage and skill but I think we need size and speed

Not the type of player we need. We need serious wheels in the backline (Coote used to have it, now hes lost it).
I am happy to move Thompson to the wing, but I don't think theres a significant difference in him and Coote. Coote is obviously a better fullback, but given our lack of pace in the backline I actually think Thompson is the type of fullback more needed for us given our pace dilemma.
Holmes I think is a different kettle of fish. I would go there.

It all comes down to his asking price. If I could get him or Godinet for a similar price, I would take Coote in a heartbeat. If he is asking for 600k+ I would probably pass on him.
