The Sharks are on the same points as us and also the same +/- but we have scored more points yet sit behind them.

This would make sense if its about points conceded, yet broncos and titans are on the same points and also the same +/- but broncos have conceded more points yet sit above titans...

WTF?

Another example of NRLs bias against us? Or bias towards Broncos? I'm sure there's a good conspiracy theory to be made out of this.

Shouldn't matter next weekend. If we are serious we'll beat the Rabbits and Penrith will go through the Sharks.

Agreed. But this is potentially an issue if this was the final round and dictates if your team makes finals solely because of their name.

Should be based on points scored, surely. Or the NRL really is a mickey mouse comp.

If points are equal and differential is equal it is supposed to be on percentage,so the team who would have the least scored against them would have a higher percentage

Thought in prevous years it was based on points against if it became level the lower points against would seperate the teams

We'll just have to go back to being Balmain.

Should be UEFA style, F/A between the two clubs in question. Wests Tigers 7th.

In all seriousness, just keep winning then it's not an issue.

And who's gonna pay for that ?

Just put a bit of making tape over the Wests with Balmain written on it.

I agree. Tiebreakers should be based on head to head matches between the tied teams.

On another note, does anyone know if points scored in golden point count towards for and against?

Points scored in extra time yes would have to count.

2 words, Titans loss

I know this is weird to say but i think losing to the titans brought a massive attitude change.

Without the change i think we go on the lose against the cows and probably the dogs.

The result of the game turned a corner for the team in a good way

I’ve got a problem with that... Let’s say at seasons end two teams end up tied for 8th with equal differential (for arguments sake let’s say Tigers and Souths with +20). Tigers for is 400 and against is 380. Souths for is 390 and against is 370. Souths qualify... However Souths won one of their matches with a try in golden point. This means they had an extra 10 minutes of game time to score that try, which is unfair. Had they instead won in regular time by a field goal, their differential would be only +17 and Tigers would qualify...

I get what you are saying, but we lose to the bottom sides every year, and most years it costs us a top 8 spot, forever 9th

Its notn unfair imo... their opposition also had 10 mins to kick a field goal or also score a try... It may be uneven, but it's not unfair as all teams play to the same rules.

You also have situations where the NRL admit ref's & VRs errors costs points in games and comp points... Too many variables
