The story about her Mum just proves how wrong we were

If you haven't heard it , Aborigines back in sixties actually had to apply to be able to go to visit family members

Her Mum wanted to go from Thursday Island to visit her Mum's sister at Woorabinda {an Aboriginal settlement in Central Qld )

She was denied because she had a baby out of wedlock

You can understand a lot of the hatred aimed towards the authorities

But those little innocent white lambs to be slaughtered represent more than that. Aboriginal land was taken to provide lamb country. The kangaroos were shot, driven and fenced out. Well what could the still hunter and gatherers Aborigines live on? Good tender mutton. And in return they were either shot or rounded up and put on reserves. The same went for cattle. So munch on that.
