Laptop Power Chords

I brought a low-range Compaq laptop about 3 years ago. No issues with the laptop itself. However I have replaced the power chord it came with about a year ago. It just crapped itself. I went and brought a no-named (BroNet) power chord and now it has become very moody not working all the time. I paid about 70 or 80 bucks for it and thought I was going to get more than a year out of it. I do use it pretty much every day for a few hours. Did I get good use out of it? I was just wondering whether other forum users have similar issues and have to replace their power chords.

I dropped my laptop on the power chord attachment and purchased one from dicksmith, not sure what brand it was, but was about the same price. Worked up until I dropped it on the chord again…

Mine's hanging in there after being run over with the vacuum cleaner - gives my sparky hubby a fit everytime he sees it … lol

I was lucky. Mum found a couple on the net for less than 20 bucks.
