Last 4 Game Record

I know one particular player at the Tigers who never ever forgave Heigno for that so i imagine there were others.

I was at the last round Newcastle game where we were hot favourites and we played horrible. Still scarred from that.

I'm preying this year is different. We seem to be hitting form at the right time and have only one major injury concern. Go Tigers :sign:

It's in our hands and all the teams around us play each other. 😛ray:

Was the Newy game at the sfs? 09?

ANZ…or Telstra as it was known then,,'07...Benji on the wing....Nightmares...

Cooper Vuna...booooooo

'09 we smashed the Dogs at SFS finishing on 28pts ..falling short 1 pt behind Parra...

I might have the round wrong as the game was at Newcastle. Had to spend the night drinking with Newcastle fans. We had everything to play for and they had nothing.

This year will be different  every team we play has something to play for sadly.

way to kill another thread…..

Of course I appreciate that someone has gone to the trouble of producing interesting comparative patterns and hope that we break the average. They certainly deserve based on past 7 wins.

Of the 60 games listed here, who were the hookers in each of them? Does that research take enough time to preoccupy those that would rather talk crap than focus on what could be one of the Tigers biggest games in a long time tomorrow

If I'm reading the Juro Curve correctly, it's only been 2004 & 2007\. They were both against Newcastle, as I recall. (Mrs Masterton, a Newcs supporter, has worn some unkind comments)

Pretty sure it was Broncos in 04\. Also remember a roosters loss one year when they were crap. But that might have just been a late season game not final game.

roosters…. Rhino couldnt pick up the ball when it popped out of the scrum.... I wanted to die that day...

Nah. Not that debacle. Who could forget that! !

The memory still sickens me.

In 2004 we were in 8th spot and only had to beat the hapless Knights to be in the semis. They beat us by 10 with nuffie Craig Hall scoring 2 tries.

I was drinking with some tigers mates at the RSL. At fulltime I wordlessly left the venue and walked the many kilometres home.

Haha, very similar for me… I had to leave the pub much to the disappointment of the work mates I was there with

The WT record for the last 4 weeks of the season is pretty dismal and remains dismal

1 occasion
Won 4 lost 0 = 2011

2 occasions
Won 2 Lost 2 = 2005 & 2009

1 occasion
Won 0 lost 4 = 2000

12 occasions
Won 1 Lost 3 = 2001, 2002,2003, 2004,2006, 2007,2008,20012,2013,2014 ,2015 & 2016

1 occasion
Won 3 Lost 1 = 2010

So between 2009-2011 we did alright in the back end.

2009 was when we had to beat Souths at LO to get in, wasn't it?

2010-2011 were squandered chances. We should have been in the GF both years and pissed both chances away.

this year the last 4 games scoresheet for and against are For 74 points, against 135 - how does that compare with previous years?

From rugbyleagueproject.org, F/A since 2010.

2015 - 116 / 112
2014 - 52 / 115
2013 - 88 / 156
2012 - 70 / 105
2011 - 132 / 62
2010 - 107 / 71

Pretty much since Potter we've struggled.

I'll never forget how RF stuffed our 2011 semi against the warriors

How did Farah get on to this thread? Extreme overexposure.

Him and Benji both, right? One put a kick out on the full, one threw a forward pass.

Despite being club legends, they both had some issues with clutch play moments. Not that we didn't get some go our way, but not in finals and our overall golden point record is appalling.

Robert Lui was instrumental in that charge.
Benji goes to crap without a real halfback.

Most definitely.
I hold him solely responsible for that monumental failure.
That was the beginning of mediocrity.

Lote and Moltz having an absolute brain fart at the death killed us too. The whole last 10 minutes of that game was a shambles.

Correct. Funny how we got somewhere with an established halves pair. Moses is definitely one half of that puzzle. Whether Brooks is the other man or we need a Robsonesque foil for him remains to be seen.

IMO Lui was also instrumental in losing in the big matches. He made too many crucial errors.

Benji definitely needed a 7 and the fact that Lui was average at best goes to show what we coulda done all those years if Benji was just played in his natural position alongside any half-decent halfback.

I consider this the greatest travesty of the Wests Tigers - the fact that we had the world's most exciting and penetrating attacker for so many years who (post-Prince) (a) never had the 7 he needed to flourish, and (b) was played out of position for so long.
