Last Tackle Option...

For what it's worth, I thought I'd throw my 2c in regarding how the last tackle should be played this season.

If we are behind going into the last 10-15 minutes, Benji should be the go to man on the 6th. He can create the points.

However…

If we are in front heading into the last part of the game, Anasta should get the ball in his hands on the 6th. Benji has proven that he cannot shut a game down (remember running the ball on the 6th tackle in the semi against the Warriors when all we needed was a strong kick & chase?).

In summary...

Benji when we need the points, Anasta to shut the game down.

100 percent agree, Don't forget about Miller. He can also handle last and to be honest I couldn't careless who gets the ball out of Miller and Anasta both have great kicking games.

I think the variation in kicking options is the big advantage the Tigers have this season. Benji and Anasta both have long kicking games. I haven't seen enough of Miller's long kicking game, but I know he has a good short kicking game, as does Farah. It should keep teams guessing if done right.

Benji has a long boot on him, but there is only one game in the last couple of seasons that I can remember where his kicks regularly found grass in the corners and that was the 40-zip shellacking we gave Canberra last year. I have more confidence in Anasta's long range kicking game than Benji. But with Anasta coming in I guess our kicking options have broadened considerably, especially if Anasta plays in the second row. There's going to be occasions where the ball gets caught out wide on the last and having a second rower capable of kicking will be very useful.

Someone mentioned about our kicks not hitting the grass Can distinctly remember during a game after mid season a commentator saying we were one of the best in this area

It would be nice to have a pin point bomb put up on the 20m line for a change rather than have Benji hoist it from 40m out and pray it has distance.

our last tackle option has been our Achilles heel for a long time I hope the change of coach and personal will fix this
