Lawrence Or Farah

With all the drama surrounding Farahs chance of playing origin, does Rowdy deserve a spot in the side given his poor form this year? IF Farah isnt picked and Lawrence is does NSW have a chance?

Gotta say I don't think Lawrences form warrants it. This has been probably his worst start to the season to date.

That said I think definsively he'd do the job, just not sure if he is the attacking player NSW need. I'd be more inclined to play Hayne in the centres, even Luke Lewis.

I hope he does get picked though. I think it would do wonders for his confidence at the Tigers.

he's gaining form, that's for sure. I think he deserves a shot purely because he is the best centre NSW have.

I Lawrence expect him to be picked as one of the centres - his form has not been great but I think he will be picked on his class which he has shown over the last two or three seasons.

I am of the opinion that Stuart has Jennings on the left and Lawrence on the right pencilled in. Lawrence has played a little bit of right centre for the Tigers this season, and also played on the right for City - this would have been at the request of Sticky.

I have always been a great fan of Lawrence but he's not playing well enough at the moment- especially in defence.
Maybe if he has a blinder this week will help his chances.
It's a bit rich for us all to be getting fired up over Farah being overlooked for players in nowhere near as good form and , on the other hand , expect Lawrence to waltz into the team.

I thought this would be a thread debating captaincy…

nonetheless, Farah seems all but assured to miss out, and not sure Lawrence should get the spot, but in all honesty who else should? Pomeroy and Best? Idris? yeesh.

No to Lawrance atm…. His form has been ordinary this far, not far off the level Ayshford has been playing at and he's been dropped to our bench. Seems to have gained some form in the last couple of weeks but needs to continue this upward trend until selection day to stand any chance of being picked.

On a sidenote, I have only seen Tigers games this year due to living overseas and I am interested to know who you guys think would be the Blues centres if Rowdy wasn't one of them?

True, hey we are allowed to be biased.

Hope Lawrence does get picked, he should have been there years ago. I know he would Kill it

I think Farah, Lawrence and Woods will be picked, maybe Woods off the bench. How good would it be to see one of them score the series winning try at Suncorp.

i reckon hes 1 of 3\. Only jennings/morris/rowdy.
I like them all as centres so i don't mind.

Farah's gotta be picked now with possibly hinchcliffe on bench.

Idris - no thanks - rather TREX if we want an impact player on the bench.

I have never really been a fan of his. We often talk about doing those 1%'s and I really don't think he can get them. I'm sure stats will prove me wrong, but he seems to make more mistakes then scoring tries and defending. He shows glimpses of form, but its not consistent over the 80 minutes. I suppose this could be said for 16 of the 17 starters.

Let the onslaught of fanboys begin!

Considering they were going to pick Buderus on his form in 2001, I don't see why they can't pick Lawrence even though he hasn't fired this year.

Farah should be a walk up start, and if not Farah, De Gois should get a run.

Now thats a different opinion?

hey if lawrence doesnt get picked when playing well and get picked when playing poorly it shows you how much trouble NSW are in.
on second thought lawrence hasnt been doing to much wrong. poor team performances have limited his time with the ball

Rowdy & Robbie need big games on Saturday and both should get picked!

I'm wondering if the Bye 2 weeks before Origin will go against them?

I think the only tiger in the SOO will be Woods….. Either off the bench or 18th man... I do believe that Robbie should be there but after all this crap how can anyone be in the right mind set?

Ricky puts so much pressure on the NSW team.....

Robbie should but sadly it seems has a snowflakes chance in hell.

Rowdy might but I hope he doesn't. His form is way down and he will be marking either Ingliss or Hodges - both of which grow an extra leg at Origin time. I think it may hurt his game more than kickstart it.

Woodsy might as well. He is probably a bit too green this year but might snag 18th man and learn a heap whilst in camp.

Galloway has next to no chance for mine.

Honestly i think Robbie should get the now but probably wont… Woodsy definitely deserves a squad spot, or at the very least a call from sticky telling him how close he is.

Other than that, sauce has to prove his fitness and Lawrence has had a poor start and is well behind jennings / morris at the very least.

On form i actually think Beau is a close run thing... whilst hayne / morris / uate are probably ahead of him i think he deserves some kind of recognition.
