So we actually could lose out in sponsorship from Bryden's as Lee would lose his say in any sponsorship deals within Brydens

I don't discount this man's passion for the WT's , but if we are losing a vote in the Bryden's boardroom come sponsorship time is this decision wise ??

And he openly admitted this isn't a role he has previously fulfilled .... with our board I'd be careful who I took advice from ....ask Ms M Go

Yea that was me - i only put Harry up because of his money and connections. I think Lee is a much better choice. I also thought they might have had a look at the Jaycar guy.

This is a top appointment and adds a lot to the credibility and ongoing sustainability of the club and brand.
It needs to be a high-profiled successful person that doesn’t need to knock repeatedly on corporate and NRL hierarchy doors before they are opened and conversation welcomed.
And yes Barry did his job well for the Club and was such a person also. And no amount of “bottle of grange” rubbish comments, which is no doubt coming from some of you, will change that fact.

Was excited about O’Farrells appointment but underwhelmed by what transpired. Of course he may have been great in the background but he didn’t seem to have a presence.

I'm not arguing he is WT's to the core ......we all are

What I am saying is he has admitted he hasn't held a role like this and will be relying on other board members to at least some degree

And then if we lost the Brydens sponsorship because Lee lost his say in his role with Bryden because of the conflict of interest ( and yes that is a massive argument in itself )

He is correct his role with the WT's isn't at conflict with Bryden's ...but in my opinion vice versa it is ....how can he be involved in any decisions based on sponsorship for any NRL club ...and how would the Panthers ,Souths ,Dragons etc feel about have the WT's chairperson voting on anything based on sponsorship

@happy_tiger I don't have the business acumen or the knowledge to answer. There is a chance he won't though - It's hard to know whether there would be conflict of interest of any sort. They sponsor Souths, St George & Newcastle but we're their only major sponsor until the end of 2021 - what happens after is anyone's guess.
