Lee Hagipantelis announced as new Wests Tigers Chair

I'm not the most corporately astute person on this forum, but I'm interested in how the dynamic between Greenberg and Mr Hagipantelis develops. No doubt there is already a relationship there, but I'd like to think that the level of influence our board has with the NRL has just been given a big boost. Theyy might think twice about stuffing us around

Can only be a good thing hey,
His not just our major sponsor his the major sponsor of the Blues also. Shows that there is a fair level of respect and credibility for the bloke throughout the game.

Can't hurt having an experienced legal eagle on the board. Brydens has a pretty far reach in terms of sectors of law they practice in.

So no conflict of interest here, being the Chair and major sponsor of the club ?

What's the conflict? is he going to vote to lessen or withdraw Brydens sponsorship NO for gods sake look for the positives not the negatives

Was just a question keep your nickers on.

Silly question

It wasn't a silly question, what is the corporate structure of Brydens? If it is a board it is possible that he will now have to remove himself from any vote in relation to Wests Tigers and Rugby League in general, including votes about sponsorship.

Highly unlikely but definitely possible which could see the conflict of interests have a negative impact on Wests Tigers!

@Geo There not alone with that one ..just getting a slice of a very large pie these days ! At least there putting some of there money into something useful I suppose .

I’m hoping Mr H can lead the club in trying to control the narrative better. O’Farrell and Pascoe seemed to go to ground last season and were rarely heard or sighted. Maybe they were hard at work but the club’s communication seemed to lag or was nonexistent in some areas.

I find it difficult to judge a Chair, as much of their role and responsibilities is in the background, in boardrooms and behind closed doors. Go’s background was media, and at least during her tenure the club seemed more proactive in elevating the clubs communication and control of the narrative, without it the media fills the information vacuum with speculation, and the clubs supporters are left scouring the internet wastelands, picking over bones and venturing down rabbit holes to make sense of what’s going on.

I don't know what the ownership structure is but he's the sole principal, so it seems unlikely that anyone else with an interest will go treading on him by pulling sponsorship from the Tigers...

EXACTLY!
You dont upset the boss he wouldn't have taken the
job on if there was even the slightest hint of conflict
of interest he's a smart man.

@Elderslie_Tiger But we need to sew the seeds of conspiracies and potential conflict now so the forum has something to go on with over the off season.

NO ! look for the positives with the signing of
juniors with potential to play first grade ,the upcoming expiration of bad contracts and with hopefully the arrival of LM and others start thinking positive and the negatives may disappear
