Ok guys and girls,so far we have had Brooks sign on for another 2 years,Moses wants to split and Woods and Teddy are in the process of making up their minds..what really is the big deal, people change jobs or organisations regularly, these blokes are no diferent..put emotions aside for a minute and think what will happen next…if Teddy or Woods don't sign and leave we will still have a club and team to support, just different faces and playing styles I would imagine to replace them..would this be a bad thing ??how do we know that their replacements cant offer far better service than we have had??Teddy is a freak but there could also be more freaks that we don't know of yet,,we have a new coach who does appear to know what he is doing and apparently has a good way with tutoring young players..ITS NOT ALL DOOM and GLOOM...I'm completely over hearing about the big 4,they are only NRL players and a couple of them haven't really proven NRL standard yet,so who cares, keep wielding the axe Ivan this club has needed a good cleanout for many, many years...and whats more keep taking a firm stand, something this Admin have been scared to do for far to long....
cheers TT..who doesn't mind calling a spade a spade...

TT you're on the money. We need a strong coach as last 2 have been soft touches and we are where we are because of that.Cleary is a strong coach and is prepared to off load players that don,t fit the bill. he did it at warriors & panthers. Achieved success at both clubs. The board needs to support him and both row in the same direction. It may take time, but we need to establish a culture that players want to play for this club.

Hopefully we will come out a better team with Ivan at the helm…salary cap issues starting to get resolved, contracts sorted, players leaving who cant get their way and young Brooks signing will benefit greatly by being coached by Ivan and not having Moses dominate games week after week with little results.Things may look grim to start with but as the season progresses we will see Ivan mould a good NRL team along the way.
This club has bowed down to certain players for to long, fearing losing them, they were given what they wanted, but have not taken it to the next level, Moses in particular and now" the look at me'attitude has finally been bought back to earth and he doesn't like it.
In defense of both Potter and Taylor, the mess they both came into they did their best to keep fronting up every week with very little to work with, take them or leave them they both have gone but left and kept their dignity, well done to both under extreme circumstances..
I'm now looking forward to a team being coached by a man with a smart football mind and a strong hand who is in control,we have seen what happens when coaches have little control..hopefully some at this club may miss the bus and the road will be smoother ....

TT fair call - except for the bit about Teddy. There is no-one better then him.

I'm extremely optimistic at the moment with Cleary and happy for him to wield the axe and develop young talent.

But back to Teddy and make no mistake, if we lose him then that would be the the very definition of doom and gloom. He is arguably the most exciting and promising player in the league and easily the greatest young talent the Tigers have had since Marshall.

There is simply no acceptable scenario whereby we lose Tedesco. And us fans shouldn't prepare for it or imagine that it's even a possibility.

The football club is always more important than the individuals in it.Since Cleary was appointed we appear to be moving forward for the first time in years.
It is all positive as far as i am concerned even if we do get the spoon this year attempts are being made to get us back to where we all want to be.As others have stated if we lose good players, so be it the club should always come first

While a lot of people have been celebrating the clubs actions over the last 24 hours (including me) i won't rest comfortabally till Tedesco is signed. Sadly it looks as though what the big bearded buffoon who calls himself a captain does will have a baring on what Tedesco does.

Yep agree, over the years the names have changed, the coaches have changed, management have changed. the only thing that hasn't changed is my support for the Tigers and now Wests Tigers.

Im looking forward to the club announcing new recruits and resigning of Noffo and Mckilwrick. Those two should be offered a deal quick smart as well.

No Way…It's ALL DOOM & GLOOM...

This Club lurches from one disaster to the next...

We are a funny mob here on the forum…..if he had re signed people would finding a lot of positive things to say about Moses..now that he has opted to walk we are showering him with negatives.

I guess that is life, also for the notion that Cleary was behind all this I think is way off the mark. The guy only walked into the job on Monday, can't imagine he would have had time in 48 hours to do much at all. I think there probably been a massive stink between the club and his manager that has brought this to a head.

Anyway i wonder what we will be saying about Teddy and Woods when they follow suit

Either that or the news about the salary cap being less was actually legitimate, the club has crapped their dacks and pulled the offer.

SuperCoach if Moses did resign with us I would have had a lot of questions why we are paying him so much on his performances this year..he did do well towards the end of last season but he was touted to be the best thing since sliced bread when he made his debut,he has shown glimpses of brilliance but also very mediocre plays and calls more times than not,the Saints game really peeved me off when we were in good attacking positions and he had the control of the team and it was fruitless..he may think he is the million dollar man,but he also has to produce million dollar displays…haven't seen so much YET,see if he does better elsewhere and I would stick my head out and say he won't show that much ,especially in a team with average players..if you want sucess you must perform above average in the least to find sucess ....as for Woods,he must start showing much better leadership as captain and hold players accountable for poor displays, yes they are mates, but sometimes you have to be " cruel to be kind"...
Tedesco is brilliant, but it showed on his debut how quickly and unexpectantly injuries can occur, hopefully he signs and we have our Jewel in the crown, however if he does get an injury and please I'm not hoping he does, but do we have a plan B to suffice in the mean time...

I really don't get it… "our big 4" are playing together now, we are sitting last on the ladder and getting flogged most weeks. We spend sets of 6 camped on our try line unable to score points.

Not only are we offering them major bucks to stay, we are actually worried that other clubs are trying to poach our miserable combinations??

So many top quality, proven players are off contract for next year, we have a quality coach, designs for a state of the art training centre built by 2018 years end. Australia wealthiest man pre committed for TPA's and an open cheque book from the NRL to spend the full cap amount..

If they leave, we buy a team capable of making the finals, with 20 or so quality players, not 4 over hyped juniors we over capitalised on and a whole lot of "fillers"

TT…As the dust starts to settle I think it could be a blessing that Moses has walked, the point I was making was more to do with how fickle us one eyed fans can be, and that includes me

Well said TT
I watched a snippet where JT was being interviewed and I thought he afforded himself well, he was respectful towards the WT's. He did say that WT's was trying to build around the 4, but I think the $ signs have got in the way, and now they have forgotten how to play football. What a shame :rant

If Woods announces he is leaving he should be stripped of the captaincy and have a media ban placed on him. The club will need to recruit and are not helped by our players dragging them down in the media

If the Knights can get Kalyn Ponga, we should have hope for the possibility of the Tigers without Teddy.

To even consider paying Mitchell Moses 1 million a year is pure lunacy. If the reduced salary cap forced the Tigers to renege on the deal it's a real blessing in disguise. Pulling the contract has caused Moses to reveal his true colors and spit the dummy then it's the best result for the club. We rid ourselves of an uncommitted, selfish player and free up cash to invest in a player who actually wants to be part of the way forward….
