Very clunky second half. AD to replace Mbye will make a difference.

Dueihi and Kei in the centres, Madden at 5/8, Simkin at 9 and Tui at lock, and we have a decent side. The forward were clunky but flat,but otherwise good. This is what i thought we would eventualy be the side, i cannot understand his selections.But most disagree.

I thought our middle forwards competed well for most of the game. Defensive issues mostly came on the edges and discipline let us down a lot.

Backrow depth a major issue. Garner isn't NRL standard.

Blore being injured killed us. Give Tuilagi a run

Lets have an overall review of the 1st game for 2021.
Will there be Mass changes - No
Effort was there till H/T then dropped off.

Key players,
Brooks - Never really controlled anything.
Mybe - what he did was good but rarely seen.
Liddle - Did not overly impress not an 80 min player need simpkins on the Bench, good try 1st half.
Laurie - Big Tick was best on ground....

New Others,
Tamou - Tried hard Tick
Roberts - Rocks more than diamonds
Offh - Seemed to be involved Tick

Other Players,
Joey L - Very average too involved rather see him cart the ball from Dummy half only saw that once. Swap with Talau next game.
Garner - D an issue again not much in attack.
Nofo - Not really involved bad knock on.
Mybe - Hardly saw him.
Twal - Tick
Liddle - 50/50 unsure if long term solution

Anyway bold effort out classed again.

Our forwards were garbage in attack. Not one of them ran onto the ball. The only one that tried hard was Luciano. Garner cost us a try and was laughing with Wighton when he gave that stupid penalty. Packer is a waste of space. Liddell is too slow in passing the ball. Really it was amateur hour. At what point will it change. I keep hoping but new year same crap

Our 6,7 and 9 were amongst our worst, Garner won that hands down, you can’t have 3 of your spine play so bad. Changes have to be made, Douihie back at 6, Simpkin at 9, and Brooks what do you do with him

Brooks remains Little Bo Beep after 150 games. Doughy Joey is dumb as a rock. Mbye has the creativity of an amputee finger painter. Luciano yards ahead of the rest. Tamou was gassed before the HIA.

This type of reaction by Garner is what has been the issue with the team for years ...Garner needs the punt straight away to send the message that things have changed and this will no further be tolerated!

There needs to be accountability early as there were a few that need the punt .

Discipline was terrible, silly mistakes. Kicking game was very poor as well. With Mbye at 5/8 right side attack was non existent unless JTJ went looking for the ball. Mbye kicking on the 2nd inside the Raiders half, I’d say he’s been watching too many Benji videos.

So even though he is at south’s its still Benji s fault

I think one positive is that all the new players did good - Joffa, Tamou, Stefano, Laurie all did really well. Roberts hot and cold but didn't see much ball

Most of the errors came from the same blokes who struggled last year too
