We missed Lawrence.

Sorry disagree. I felt our defence was much better without him. The referees penalised the hell out of us early on, then when we got possession we were too flat and the runner got off side. Otherwise we would have put them to bed in the first half.

They were great, obviously we were a bit rusty as it is only round 1 but overall good performance.

Fantastic game by Woods, 190 m, 32 tackles, 16 hitups certainly MOM.
Everyone contributed, Naiqama shows that he is excellent buy, run the ball strong and his tackles counted.
Sironen was good, run the ball hard.
Brooks and Moses kicking was not the best, on the last tackle they just kicked the ball in the air.
If we just hold the ball in some crucial moments our win would be more convincing.
Santi and Lodge were good the same as Lovett, even Halatau contributed.
Hope there be no injurues.

Turning point Sirros one on one in the last 5 …. Certainly was not what I thought would of been presented,scrappy to say the least but a win , bad luck for Moses but the pressure was on so can not blame the kid.
FARAH did not look to good hope nothing to worry about,one thing I will say they do look like a fully committed squad which is a major positive. A rough diamond performance and plenty to work on but 2 points and on the board .
And I must say the get rid of Patty brigade will have to wait for another week..Pat will win us more games than lose any player with his ability with the boot is worth his weight in GOLD.

Great play Galloway on the last tackle.

Hit it hard and fast and surrendered straight into the play the ball. Set it up.

Galloway was good. Woods was our best forward but Galloway was definitely second.

Yep we played poor in parts but showed grit to stay in the game and get the two points.

Feeling much better than I did after the Dragons game last year.

Just back from the stadium, and yeah, it was a fairly scrappy game from where I was sitting. Most of the forward were O.K. - Woods, Tapau and Lodge were strong. Sirro played pretty well. Farah was way down on form and Keith was 'only just' in my opinion.
Backs showed nothing. Brooks looked better in the second half with a couple of nice darts. Teddy had no opportunities. K.N. was the standout.
