I swear the actual technicality here is that it was what you’d call a “voluntary” play-the-ball... which in all my time of following Rugby League has meant ref usually acknowledges he’s late on the held call and blows it back, OR simply a scrum to the other side (with 0:10 remaining on clock)... 2 points is a big play in the context.
