It's a tough one. Didn't mind Penrith from freddys years there. Might support Penrith now and next year.

We were never going to make up the ground on the top 8.
Whether this week or any of the remaining weeks of season proper.
We just ran out of troops and enthusiasm.

On paper the forward pack just did not do it for me this week.
And as in other games this year that we lost, when our forwards don’t get on top our backline is just not good enough.

Let’s not delusion ourselves here ….. this is just above average side ..... and the engine only sometimes stutters into action.
We have overachieved this year so, even though these games are a dissapointment, I’m also happy with what little success we have had.

Tend to agree , but i'm pissed off me off to lose to a s*** team.

Their forwards are a solid unit and if they get on top their average backline can succeed just like tonight. So I must disagree and feel that there is no side in this comp that you can bank a win in advance.

Difference in our line speed for defence was so noticeable tonight, we barely got up on them. In comparison you have to give the Bulldogs credit, they moved up on us all night and out enthused us nearly every play.

We’ve been learning lessons for 7 years. Could have got doctorates if they didn’t play footy

Canterbury played well and the difference between top and bottom of the table teams is not huge.
What a downer this was for us. Must admit never believed Warriors or Penrith would miss out and Brisbane looked the side that didn't deserve to be there and watching them get them home last night as has been the case a few other times this year including against us felt deflated last night.
Maybe our boys felt the same way going into the game. After beating the top two sides last two weeks and seeing they needed to win tonight just to stay 4 points behind must have been to much.
No excuses though.
