if it's a choice between Lote and ayshford then it's Lote by a mile. Even if he has been ordinary at least he's shown some interest in being there.

This is true. Ayshford is a pea hearted knob.
People are saying to bring in the young guys coz they're showing heart eg. Brooks. I sure wouldn't. Why play young guys who are playing well AS A TEAM in a team that looks like the majority couldn't care less and smash their confidence. Lote in first grade on the wing and move Nofo to the centres to replace Ayshford may be the best option for this season as there's no point blowing the 20's chances to bring in another young gun.

Don't know. Seeing Lote's post match interview and stating "oh well that happens" about getting towelled up.

Also the NRL players who couldn't turn up any other game to support their team mates show up for Lote

Lets not just tell half the story…it was a Balmain old boys reunion today attended by some of the NRL side.

I thought Lote went well all things considered. Good hit out and as said before we'd be better off with him in First Grade than Ayshford.
Eddie Paea is absolutely woeful isn't he?
I really liked what I saw from Hitchcox. Could be a good depth player for the NRL side.
Matty Bell also good.

Chad Townsend was great for Cronulla. If we are still looking for a 5/8 next year we could do worse than him.

Great to hear! hope lote gets the call up soon. How was his match fitness?

Ahh seems he has.
As for Austin it seems most Penrith fans rate him as more of a back rower than a 5/8

Well coach Fletcher questioned his team's desire. I assume he got his answer today.

Was at game (a smashing day to be at the footy) and thought Lote went okay. At least he seemed to be trying. Hitchcox was dangerous. Bell tackled all day and seemed to play big minutes - not sure if he is the answer but I know we missed his defense earlier in the year. Groat is huge but a little slow and was impressed with Gavet's passion: put on some big hits, and was involved in a multiple hit ups and tackles per set. The Sharks was too good across the park though.

On the bigger point Lote could not go worse than Ayshford is going.
