… and for those members who had other commitments

I was quite impressed with what JT said once he got going & what he's implemented at the club so far ….

Then again there's 15 other coaches in the comp saying the same thing ...

Time will tell .

Eddie - thanks for a reasonably detailed report. I have no access
or not sure how if I do.

So appreciate you keeping most of us in the loop.

However, saying Potter is not capable of operating a VCR is a
very cheap shot on a nice guy.

Can we get over the past and look forward to the future.

Another thing GMayer said, which I liked, was any news that didn't come from the board, himself, JT or Robbie should be treated as nonsense. These were the only people who could give accurate details on anything related to the club.

Also JT really got behind Rowdy and how the previous admin really screwed with his rehab. Here's hoping the confidence from the coach does Chris a world of good.

great little meeting there.

potter seems to have made a step in the right direction and JT is really just completing his work along with Mayer, Moss and the new board.

future looks really bright!

potter talked about accountability, JT is talking about professionalism and sheens…well i dont know what sheens talked about.

I liked it when Brett couldn't get the video to work talk about VCR problems…

I liked when JT kept on saying "this needs to be kept in here but…" and would go on with his views on something and also spoke about focusing on defense and didnt want the other teams to know that. Im guessing it'll be in the papers tomorrow hahahaha

Was anyone actually there? What was the talk like after the cameras went off? More importantly, what was the food like?

anyone with half a brain would of evaluated Taylor before he was chosen as our coach on his record at the elite level on his resume. Not soley based on todays exposition.

Hence he was chosen. The rest is history.

Today was an exhibition on the nuances of Taylors method in getting him the job.
It's not what he said but how he said it. Emotional intelligence. Taylor is a work in progress - he is not the end result. He will only get better.

So whats in it for the fans. Well- i dont know if they raised that question today - but it was answered above.

In lieu of today i think the best thing you can do is go out & get yourself a membership.
We'll be playing semi final football in 2015.

I supported Potter for the most part.

I guess what I was getting at was Potter could not have communicated the way Taylor did. And i think it is unlikely he was as cutting edge.

However he was a hard worker, and a good man and had a decent gameplan when we were fit and healthy.

Different styles of coaches. It just gave me hope we made the right call but talk is cheap lets see it on the field.

Well sheens was doing these meetings more than a decade ago….minus the digital technology

He frustrated me as a WTs coach, but I could listen to him talk football for hours

Some of the other items of interest (in no particular order):

1\. Has some options for back row if depth is tested but didn't want to elaborate.

2\. Doesn't care if we are heavily penalised as long as we win games.

3\. Won't be changing the way we play getting of the tackled player until he sees how it is referreed. Didn't change much between ref visits to training and they said he was ok.

4\. Was impressed with Drinkwater but didn't see him as a full utility as unlikely to fill in at hooker.

5\. Recognised that we need a plan for when Robbie is at origin as it will be a big test for someone to play 80min if they haven't played any all year.

6\. Saw sironen as a 80min player and recognised the more players that can play 80 the better he can manage the bench.

7\. Gave some interesting stats on levels of work done at training (in k's) and how this is managed. Eg tedesco runs more at training than others so they need to watch and limit his workload.

8\. Said luck played a small part in injuries.

9\. Won't play players that are not fully recovered from injuries.

Grant Mayer gave some opinions on memberships and was more concerned with revenue than numbers.

Mayer said in future seasons balance of games at surburban grounds may not be equal from year to year.

For what it is worth I really liked the information and openness. I am not a huge fan of Mayers deliver but can live with it. I think Taylor will be a good motivator for the team.

I watched with xcast and had some early issues with connecting and hearing marina go but what I heard was impressive.

Mayer ate all the pies and had sauce on his shirt lol

Watching today was very I impressed with JT, but the Rub comes when the season is off and running .You can surround yourself with a huge amount of technology and know how it all works, but how much of a real motivator and man manager he is and how he will respond to the criticism that will come remains unknown.
The road to a premiership has begun IMO the club seems to have turned the corner , I for one as a long serving member do defiantly get the feeling that the club is on the verge of a great run .Well done to all who put today's meeting together coupled with streaming of the event.

I wasn't completely sold on JT when we 1st signed him, but everything I have heard from him and the club this year has me convinced we are finally moving in the right direction. I really believe we now have a very competent board in place as the appointments of JT and Moss appear to be targeted and aimed at fixing the problems at the club. The release of the Blair last year and the stating of no signing of players for a couple of years had me convinced we were in extreme salary cap strife. The employment of Moss, who fixed those very same issues at Penrith really gave me confidence in the new board. They identified the problem and went and employed the very best to fix it. After hearing JT speak today I'm sure they have done the same in his appointment.

The club is heading in the right direction guys, but lets not judge them on this years onfield results, this will be a 3-5 year plan to get this club to be where it needs to be.

I was at the meeting today. Was mostly impressed, apart from the audio/visual work. Slides were almost impossible to read (especially Mayer's slides, where he put up stats that were too small to read, then rushed through them).

Enjoyed the sausage rolls and party pies afterwards…
