My wife is a Family Councillor and domestic violence is, and more prevalent, with non-physical violence, i.e. mental abuse. An iceberg has more frozen gear under the water. If even 5% of this is true, he really needs to get help. Whilst its only allegation at the moment, where there is smoke, there is fire.
Lodge has enormous talent …it's worrying that it appears he has wasted the opportunities that players with less ability would kill for and I'm not just talking about this incident things like attitude to training turning up late with the wrong training gear etc... but with this lets just wait until we hear the outcome of the investigation before draw and quarter the bloke say we...

This must just about be the final straw. Our club has shown plenty of ticker in the past with players engaged in this kind of thing (Lui) at a time we could ill afford to kick out a decent halfback, or any decent player. A real tragedy too because the kid has ability but he is just too "high maintenance". If we punt him, NRL should de register him as well
no one has heard what the charge really is, or what really happened, yet every one wants to hang him. did souths get ride of there centre, NO still playing, and there is many more still playing. get the facts 1st than make a call on the kid. and remember if we punt him 1 of the other 15 will pick him up. i dont condon what they say he has done but i am over getting rid of them so another side picks them up the only loser is us.
If found guilty, he's got to go for a year or two. They got rid of Carney for peeing in his own mouth.

Issue is that if there are either threats of physical or mental violence, women never step forward to say what they really think for fear of what may happen. Generally causes them to recluse or say it was their fault. Very few numbers of these are actually the B parties fault. It's too rampid in our society. You'll also find that the DV was probably reported to police by a third party. Whilst I'm not here to judge, the writing is pretty much on the wall.

He's innocent at the moment but gee…as i've said a few times before he is a MASSIVE knucklehead. read the stuff he writes on social media and you won't believe how much he lacks between the ears...He needs some sort of mentor.
If he is guilty get rid of him, I don't want the club to be like souths with Auva'a and Teo etc. I think it's utterly disgraceful he is still playing first grade. It's damn abhorrent. I cannot stand the sight of Auva'a.

You've got to be innocent until proven guilty. But with his history as an indicator, the writing is on the wall…. he's got to be gone.
The NRL need to step up and ensure players like this are not resigned elsewhere. Otherwise, there isn't a major deterrent for good players as they know they are a good chance to still be picked up by another club.

People here are still assuming the worst because of his 'history'. There is a wide spectrum of possibilities independent of his history. Yes he comes across as a hothead that acts before thinking but it takes two to tangle. As others have said, if proven he should face the full brunt of the law, no sympathy, but at least give him a fair hearing.

I think given his anger issue history, assuming the worst is a given. But I think everyone here wants to see it go through due process. However, even if he plays a small part in this, he might be chucked as he was on thin ice to begin with.
