we've become attuned to athletes in our game….'football players' come in all shapes and sizes

Like a fullback named after a wombat.

Graham "Wombat" Eadie

Mentioned that in an earlier post TD - also a similarity of shape to Ken Thornett.

All full backs are not skinny giraffes.

Does anybody know if he has slimmed down? Yes I know football players come in different shapes, but I agree with others who pointed out he could definitely do with a more athletic/speed type build compared to last year if he is going to be fullback. I'm sure the strength and conditioning team are working on this, but I would love if somebody has seen it heh.

Also to be realistic, in that video RTS is like twice as fast haha. Don't get me wrong I want to get excited also, but yeah hah

I think he said somewhere that he's lost between 5-10kg

Not that I’m making a point but I stumbled across this on you tube.
For those that know how to post the actual video and not the link. Please do!

I think that this confirms a lot of peoples concerns around Tui. After making the break, positioning RTS well and setting up the match winning try, he was not in the first 4 or 5 players to congratulate RTS. Obviously a fitness issue there.

I think, if you check the video, that he got pushed to the ground after passing the ball. Maybe that is why he is not backing up the move and not a problem with lack of pace or fitness. Am I right?

Player poll: Rating the speedsters

David Fusitu'a (Warriors)

It would be Tui Lolohea at the club; Shaun Johnson or Ken Maumalo would be close too. Across the comp my guess would be Josh Addo-Carr at the Storm.

Good find.

He is deceptively fast but in a Chris Lawrence style (pre hip injury). Excellent mid distance speed.
