Love our forward pack

These blokes are very impressive. They are standing tall with their heads high and the chests pumped out. They are belting everyone in defence and their attacking charges are relentless.

Gal and Woodsy have a licence to go as hard as they can as they know that those who will takeover are just as good. They dont need to conserve energy for the back third as the replacements are more than holding their own, if anything, they are increasing the dominance that our starting props are creating.

Farah is carving up and creating opportunities whilst making great metres out of dummy half. 2 try assists and a try tonight.

Blair, Thommo and Fults are all over the field making their tackles and cleaning up. Blair and Thompson in particular are carrying the ball strongly as well.

…and then the bench! Gavet is killing it...seriously smashing every team. He makes 5 plus metres after impact and still gets a quick play the ball. Taupau, Seumanufagai, Akoula, Sue....just going balls out with every run and are rattling rib cages in defence.

Coming into this season, we were all looking at the young backs to kick on from last year and be the stars of this side. I am over joyed to see that it is our forwards that are winning games for us this year. This club has NEVER had a forward pack like this. We get all of our backs firing and amazing things are in store for us.

Ava in particular stood up tonight when Taupau had to go off early,
 
I'm still somewhat in awe of it. I knew we'd changed our tack this year from the more direct style we played in the trials, but to see it work so effectively now against more fancied opposition, simply great to see.
 
When the draw was first announced, I looked at it and thought if we could win 2 of our first 6 I would be happy.

Having to play a skillful pack like Saints and then back that up with tough aggressive packs like Titans, Rabbits, Warriors, Manly and Cowboys one after the other seemed an insurmountable task. These boys are doing it week in week out without blinking…they are also doing it with smiles on their faces. 4/6 is an outstanding effort against quality...I am so proud to see my club has a forward pack who wont back down and in fact will dictate terms to more fancied rivals.
 
Yep. Best forward pack for the Tigers in a very long time. Gavet and Tapau just dont put a foot wrong. Ava and Sitaleki are also good balance for the bash brothers.

I have to give praise to Bodene. Has done his job well every week. He struggles a little bit in defense when playing in the centres but his versatility and smarts has been immense.

They are all tough as nails and fearless.
The best thing about it is that it has a ripple effect through the rest of the team. You can see them lift and be inspired by what our forwards are doing. Huge wraps have got to go Potter and Kidwell. To have turned the team around the way they have is phenomenal. Gone are the days of people laughing at our pack.
 
Very proud of ours boys. We're playing for each other with aggression, skill & heart. To think if we didn't have all those injuries against the warriors we might just be 5 from 6 now.

I think I might watch the game against souths again to celebrate!!

A few of the old ruck penalty kept back in tonite….it was not easy for us out there...took some time to get on top of them...but we did eventually.
I'm starting to think they really can be consistently good...too often now for coincidence.and I've seen all too often in the past good performance s followed up with average

Hope they ignore the media & hype and continue to focus on their roles

Kudos to Em all..tough hard nuts
 
Our five props are doing a great job and deserve all the kudos they are getting

The back row aren't getting many wraps , but they should be Thompson and Blair have improved out of sight in 2014 and Fulton is just Fulton

We have Sironen and Sue to come back into the side also which will just widen our options as well

We are setting ourselves up nicely for the future
 
The pack is going amazingly well, it's so different to what we've seen for our club. It's not just a couple of the guys, it's all of them.
 
"they are also doing it with smiles on their faces" Stryker. I reckon they're having fun. It looks like they know they've got each others backs. They won't allow themselves, or each other, to be dominated. That confidence means they can enjoy the game. It's great to see.
 
The pack is great. I really like Ava based on last years performances as well and last night he was huge.

Our backrow doesn't have the same impact as the starting props and bench however they are going really well. Blair and Bodene are playing great. Fulton is doing what he always does but that adds a lot to the team.

I have no idea where to play Sirro Jnr when he gets back but I want to see him out there as well.
 
What a pack!!
It's a pleasure to watch them dismantle other packs.they are all feeding off each other and playing for each other .Gavet and Toupou have lifted the other forwards to new levels .Woods is having the time of his life out there.
