So Luc is after a contract upgrade but if signed will stay with us long term.

While his brother never found form here, Luc has been awesome and IMHO someone we would want to keep around.
700k is big bikkies but fair market value. I see the big problem is motivation.

How do we keep this unit firing and pushing to the max with a 4 year contract? Yet maybe we say "stay" and the ethic is different. IMHO get his signature but just make sure there is a performance clause in the contract.

Momo signed with Easts for 300k. 🙁 What an absolute joke. I would have signed him here for 450k and I don't think we should be signing centers.

Get Luc locked in before the deadline, we’ve had him cheaply until now - he’s transformed his body shape and motor under Madge, he was lazy at the Dragons. I rate him one of our best forwards, he has x-factor. If we can get Hodgson onboard (from Raiders) then I can see Luc having a field day with the creativity that he and Hastings will bring to this big unit running wide of the ruck.

Attack means nothing if your defence is ordinary.

When wil someone at the WT's realize he isn't an 80 minute a week player ......give him a 7-10 minute break and watch that transform him .....

I don’t see that

No other team in the comp would pay 700K for LL. And if they would they're welcome to have him.

None of us can determine his market value. If some club is stupid enough to pay him 700k then that’s his market value whether we agree or not. The Pom said he was looking at 575k which is a touch overs for him imo. I’d personally value him between 500 and 550, but it isn’t the worst contract should he extend.

I don’t see that

Watch the Tigers games

I don't think he was as fit this year and it really had an impact on his game, especially in defence. I wouldn't touch him at $700k a season, would be a huge mistake.

100%
He should be used as a weapon.
The guy is not an 80 minute workhorse.

Would an incentive style contract work with Luc. Start with 500K first year and increase to 600K for the following year with 750K for the third, keep him hungry and chasing the big $$ . Too many players have a cracking season in their negotiation year get the big $$ then back off the following year, Noffa is a good example..

No

He was lucky to stay in first grade. He’s not an 80 minute player, he’s much better coming off the bench. He’s a $350k player, would be happy for him to go elsewhere

Gotta wonder if his brothers 'situation' might affect Luc's thoughts on committing to a long term deal especially if $$ aren't considered overs?

$700k , he's dreaming. How about he learns from Twal on how to tackle and play for the full 80 minutes. If we pay $700 for this guy, we deserve the continued mediocrity.

If he is less than an 80 minute player he should be paid proportionate to his time on the field.

He's not worth more than 500k. If he could play and defend well for 80 minutes then let's have another discussion.

No way is he worth $700k. He still has massive defensive issues, can’t spend that kind of money on someone who isn’t at the top of his game yet. Still a work in progress.
