Lui in the wet

he started off really bad missed a tackle that led to a try bad kicks etc but came good

I turned on 2GB after the game and the big marnnn was saying that he isnt our answer at halfback and has alot to do to prove to him that hes first grade.. thought that was a bit harsh

No you didn't….you said Lui is having the worst game as a halfback to wear the jumper...

What's changed?

and he was after the first 30 mins kicks were terrible missing tackles dropping balls

It wasnt Lui's best game. Very up and down. But to be honest, our whole attack didnt look very fluent last night. I am willing to put that down to the conditions. Whilst Lui missed a critical tackle on Ryan, I also thought he made some good one-on-one tackles throughout the game. Not many young half backs would make such tackles without the support of a forward. His also made some good kicks (and poor ones but not as bad as Gould was making out) and it was good to see the Tigers have decided to let him be our general play kicker (he will improve on this point). His combo with Ellis is also going to be very formidable.

Lui was definitely up and down.

But let's contrast Lui's game with the incumbent NSW halfback's game - Kimmorley put in one good kick all night.

They were tough conditions. Lui is still learning and he'll be better for the game.
