Luke Brooks Calling the Shots..

I suppose we have an expectation of him without realising how inexperienced and young he is,as you say FT with the forwards working harder and better then it will come for Luke.

Eh I dunno I think our forwards were excellent last week and it didn't help him any. We were weak when it came to kicks, last tackle options and attacking decision making … all his responsibilities. The forwards got it up there enough.

agree completly.

i said before the season the halves will likely be our WEAKEST position. at least barring injuries.

one week theyll be very very average (round 1) other times they'll decimate the grand finalists 30-0 in the second half (moses on the dogs  )

happens with youth.

Let's hold the footy for 90% of sets and then see how the halves do. They need possession, not having to do too much tackling.

Brooks really needs to stop putting up so many non threatening midfield bombs, it's predictable and we never have chasers coming through pressuring the opposition fullback/wingers

The kid is exactly that, a kid. Plus, Taylor has been focused on defence in the off season, not attack.
Give the guys a bit of time to get into the swing of it. I think people are being a bit overly critical.

I'm just thankful we don't have a 'star half' putting at least 1 kick over the sideline on the full each game anymore!

God, how many bland midfield bombs did we put up last night…they are a waste of time. Having them land on the 30 metre line is pointless. It would be better to kick it along the ground.

The bland bomb is straight from JT's handbook, its a rooters mainstay as well. I would say that at this point while Taylor is still fine tuning structure throughout the squad, that having all players on the park knowing that when not in the attacking zone a bomb will be put up, so move up, shut it down and get a good organised start to the defensive set would be the priority at this stage. Its making it simple at the moment.

Or not finding touch and absolutely shitting on golden opportunities to put our team on the front foot! I don't miss that
