On Page 50 in the ST, Phil Rothfield predicts Luke Brooks to be named Dally M rookie of the year in 2014.
To a large extent, I think where we finish next season will depend on how good Brooks turns out to be. At least we have something to look forward to.

Yes he will qualify, he has played less than the maximum number of games.

the limit is something like 5 or 7 games for rookie of the year.

he might get it, we'll probably know if he'll be in contention by round 7-10 though

He probably called Brooks because he knows he is a quality player and he'll get to play most if not all of the season unless injured.
