He was good in patches, his kicking is still mostly ordinary, kicked dead a few times and Feldt read every grubber he put in he also missed 10 tackles, up there with the most missed tackles by an individual this season which is 14.

So to be honest, he had a pretty average game.

What game were you watching? If you can't even be happy when your team's halfback is consistently putting in rep-quality performances you honestly might as well give up.

Nice!

Clearly outplaying Moses and Reynolds this season.

Cleary hasn't played much, can't judge.

I'm certainly not making any origin claims for Brooks - I think he needs to keep performing at this level for at least a season before he should be considered in that company. But to claim that he's not playing at that level right now on the basis that he kicked dead a couple of times is arrant nonsense.

Brooks also added 2 more repeat sets to those stats from last night…fluke tho

The great Thurston..duck egg...

Some people are blind to that Geo.

His progression this year has been nothing short of extraordinary.

I used to be filthy at Brooksy, always running at the wrong times and was never getting repeat sets. He's now one of the best halves in the comp.

Brooks will get better with age. By the time he is 26-30 I think he'll be one of the top halves in the comp.
I would trade him with anyone.

Building really well.

I love the strength shown in defense and the courage in Attack.

Run the Ball and geek up the great work.

Your best is yet to come.

As for the missed tackles… He is being targeted and when he misses the initial 1 on 1, he jumps right back in and assists.

I think his attack has always been there, just lacking confidence to have a go….
but for mine his defence has stepped up no end this year!!! Making some great tackles

There are missed tackles, and then there are MISSED TACKLES. Luke's defence is coming along well.
His kicking game last night was very good, a heap better than Benji (who had another shocker)

If you haven't noticed, I praise Brooks everytime be has a good game.
I thought last night he was patchy, he had an average game.
Despite his stats, he's not at Origin level yet but if he keeps improving he's on his way.

Wouldn't say his kicking was very good.
