Brooks Manager shopping him around? That's outrageous. He should have done it this time last year. Bloody hopeless.

Channel Nine’s Danny Weidler appeared on 2GB radio earlier today and reported that the Tigers halfback has been shopped around by his manager.

“I know as of this week people representing him [Brooks] are offering him to other Sydney clubs,” said Weidler.

“That’s not a good sign for Luke Brooks, I don’t know if this is behind the Tigers’ back or not, but clubs have been offered Luke Brooks for next year and beyond, even though he’s on contract.”

Brooks is on a reported $850,000 a season until the end of 2023, so if the 26-year-old is to leave the Wests Tigers at the end of this season, the club would have to have knowledge of this situation that is believed to be occurring.

I asked his earlier, can a manager put feelers out for a contracted player? I wouldn't have thought they could, unless he club has said he is free to look else where?

And no one has made that claim yet, so atm, you would have to seriously doubt the authenticity of this?

No not officially without permission from the current Club..prior to Nov 1 of the previous contract year..

That wouldn't stop Weedler tho..

I'll have a nibble. No conspiracy theory, especially now AD will be missing for half a year. However, prior to that news, nothing would surprise me especially given it was Gus who said "I don't think the problem at the Tigers is Luke Brooks, but the Tigers may be a problem for Luke Brooks". (this was quite a while before Gus went to the Dogs)

I guess until Wests Tigers say otherwise or Brooks starts kicking stones he will be here next year. Frankly, unless Madden shows something unbelievable in the next 2 rounds, we just don't have the depth to let Brooks go anyway.
