Defence in our team is a must have......no matter what position you play...we have few who can do it to an NRL Standard...

It's a shame brooks is one of the few because your half shouldn't be the man being praised for being one of the best defenders in a team that's for sure ?

In our team it does...praise has nothing to do with it...I want as many NRL level defenders in our team as possible..start from there ....

Yeah Gus said he liked the make up of the team.
Said Brooks tries his guts out and is very talented. Said he isn't whats wrong at the tigers.
Also said he's a fan of Moses and likes him in 5/8
When asked about Douehi and that he's been our best. Gould said but we haven't been winning so coach has right to change the team around.
Said we need to win as doesn't know where we go from here.
He likes our team.
And tipped us to win.

I would think he has enough issues.

I guess all of his knowledge and achievements are invalid now.

I applaud him for taking on the warriors job. Not many credible people in the biz would have.

Just saying it's easy to make comment on what other clubs should do when it's not your club.

Well actually he didn't comment on "what Tigers should do", he said he had a theory what Madge might be going for with the changes he made. It was more about a possible explanation for Madge's decision rather than advice or a suggestion on what he should do.

What I'm saying is, the whole team should defend well so brooks isn't the man getting the praise for it, he shouldn't stand out in defence because everyone else sucks at it! I agree we need a lot of better defenders ? trying to agree with you here!

The club should be using the loss of Paps, Teddy, Moses etc as a marketing tool to shop Brooks around.

“Look at us we have no idea what we’re doing, this is a former dally m halfback of the year! He could be the next Tedesco at your club! Act now!”

Its a strong selling point because it is probably true.

I’m obviously one of his supporters on here but those are the situations he is struggling with I’ll 100% pay that. It’s a mental thing for sure, he knows that’s his moment but he is freezing up and second guessing himself. I think he lacks confidence in those around him.

Edit: contrast that with Sam Walker who has the confidence to go throwing 30m cut out passes. I think Brooksy does too if it’s BMoz on the other end of it.

I just think he needs to go into the line deeper. It was interesting because he was coming back across from the other side of the ruck at speed and demanded the ball so he must of seen something before he tried the grubber. From the benefit of TV you can see that Brimson was chasing hard right and there was space back behind the ruck. Maybe that’s the bit he thought he saw. Pretty sure Brimson was in the ruck at the start of that play and pushed hard to cover the space.
