The sad part is that he's been this bad for a long, long, long time.

Your right. 150+ games and he still can't kick a grubber 5 m into the in goal. I mean fair dinkum it should be the first thing you learn

He was not good today, no doubt about it. It was clear we needed a stable but creative influence given those opportunities we had with set restarts in that first half. They were wasted due to lack of leadership and direction by Brooks today.

There was no more senior leader out there today, so if it wasn't Brooks to stand up and take control of the situation, who was it?

I like him. I want him to be successful with WT. But, I'm losing hope fast.

Ive always liked him. Always wanted him to succeed because he is one of ours, a true blood who wanted to be here. It's clear to me now though, the partnership needs to end for the sake of both parties.

Anyone that comes out and supports Brooks with his atrocious effort tonight and the dreadful past few years needs to see a shrink. How many years without finals and mediocre performances do you need to believe that he is one of the main underlying issues at the club.

I think a lot of you don't understand Brooks's role in the team. He creates space for the playmakers and gives them the ball, he is the distributor in the middle 3rd of the field. Today the playmakers were Cini on the left and Madden on the right.

He is our Kyle Flanagan. The only difference is roosters got rid of him and bulldogs dropped him after half a season. We are still persisting with him ten years later. What an absolute joke.

I put him in the same category as Ash Taylor. Looked great as a junior player but not cut out for the pressure of the NRL.

I will not listen to the wests tigers pod cast on Spotify again. For some reason they think brooks is something special. Brooks Island they call it. Gee whiz can they and brooks bugger off to that island and don't come back

I haven't listened to it but he's a very well liked player around these ends.

It's a very dark day.
I hope the lads enjoy the mad Monday.
God knows they've earned it after such a hard year.

... not.
Should hang their heads in shame.
They're lucky this wasn't a legit home game.
They'd be booed off at half time and full time again.

They were booed from a few different sections walking off at half time, I left before the end of the game with a number of others so not sure about full time.

Sucker ?

The club has to part ways with Brooks in the offseason. If we shop him around, there may be a club willing to pay 500 of his 850 salary in the hope that he rediscovers his 2018 form. It's the best chance that he has to revive his career as well.

You’re dreaming if you think any club would pay him 500k. As previously said, the club is already paying half of Mbye’s contract. Highly unlikely they move him on, pay half his contract as well, AND sack and pay out the coach. Then there will also be some delusional enough to think we’ll offload Noffa as well. Simply won’t happen.

Nightmares

With Doueihi gone for most of next year and us already paying the salary if a mid roster player for Mbye to play elsewhere, I think Brooks will be going around again.

I think that any coach coming in will want to give it at least one season to see what they can get out of him. Getting him to live up to anything like his potential would be something that ant decent coach would back themselves to do

as far as I can remember he has had a bad kicking game. his running game is also a myth. just because he is fast doesn't mean he automatically does anything on the field.

No nrl club would touch him cowgirls we're our chance but they've moved on. UK swap makes only sense.
