Luke Laulilii #290

If thats true, Lewis must really be able to fight because Beau can definitely hold his hands up

I used to drink with the Cronulla physio and that's from him

I also have alot of stories of Flanno the way he looked after Fifita cared and protected him hats off to him

He's got all the attributes except height to be a good centre/winger.

Unfortunately his lack of height is going to be an issue throughout his career like it was for guys like Matt Utai and Mahe Fonua.

I hope he can be one of the very few that make it to the top level despite their stature (ie To'o) but he's up against it.

I think this is the take. Centre is one of the hardest defensive positions in terms of positioning and decision making.

He hasn’t played much centre as far as I’m aware so there’s naturally going to be some bumps as he learns on the job.

I think wing is just position and I like his carriers. Hopefully he develops into a good first grader for us.
Exactly right.

Love his ticker...hes fearless...been a fan since last year hope he can get the defense up to scratch....tough day yesty

Anyone who writes off a 19 y.o playing centre for the first time in first grade, who's had very few training reps in that position has no idea...not to mention he was up against one of the best attacking centres in the comp.

Honestly, if you are lucky enough to play first grade you're a freak. If you're good enough to play first grade as an 18 year old, you're an absolute freak, but you're still inexperienced and not as strong as a regular first grader with a few years of training etc

He'll learn so much from that. I think if he marked Mark N again next week he'd do so much better on him.

No he wouldn’t.
He has a lot of work to do on his defensive technique.
That’s fine, he is young enough to go back to KOE and put a great 12 months together.

Obviously in a perfect world he wouldn’t have started there, but he wouldn’t be exposed to that in KOE. There’s enough positives from him yesterday to show that he’s not a write off.
This idea that a player has a bad game and he’s gone for good is 1980s thinking.

I don’t think he is written off.
I think he’s not ready yet and needs work.
He is a strong carrier and that’s why we will continue to develop him.

That wouldn’t surprise me. I reckon he can overstep, and I reckon he’d would get annoying at times.

Beau actually has a mental disorder and he can not control it OCD is real and when you start doing something can not stop Luke took offence

He's talented for sure.

The only thing that concerns me is his height. You need to be taller these days with how good wingers are getting at contesting. If Turuva has the right wing locked down, we can't operate with two shorter guys.
