To give you an idea how bad I am at singing TM , at a footy pre season drink fest we all had to sing Karaoke

I for some drunken reason did the Police classic Roxanne

That became my nickname for the two seasons I spent at that club 😱pen_mouth: :roll

We even had plays called Roxanne

You could say the exact same thing about those childishly bagging Farah as well. Calling him a 'cancer', amongst other rubbish, is distasteful and absurd.

Cancer comments aside, give us some examples of other things that have been said about Farah that have been any more distasteful and disgusting than the things said about JT, I challenge you.

This is starting to remind of the Wests v Balmain arguments when people are quick to get defensive when something is said about their side yet turn a blind eye when something is said about the other side. I've seen JT called a terrorist which is equal to a cancer, would you condemn someone for that or excuse it because it's JT and you are against him?

My comment has nothing to do with taking anyone side at all. Yes I'll admit I'm a supporter of Farah, but that doesn't automatically mean that I hate JT - my only wish is that they can both bury the hatchet and finally concentrate on football and guiding the team into the finals next season.

I was simply stating the fact that Farah has had some equally distasteful things said about him on here, as Taylor has. I don't like, or agree with, any of the stupid comments directed at either of them, but I particularly take umbrage with people calling someone a 'cancer', because it's nothing to joke about. I haven't seen anything about JT being called a 'terrorist', but if that comment was indeed made, I agree that it's also a disgraceful and ridiculous comment.

As for my challenge to find more crap being thrown at Farah, other than the cancer comment (which is enough, imo), I really can't be bothered, but if you want to troll through umpteen amounts of pages on the 'Robbie Farah Discussion' thread, I'm sure you'll find plenty - go your hardest.

All the winging about Robbie being described as a cancer within the Wests TIgers organisation.

It isn't offensive, it isn't saying he has cancer or anything else you have made up - it is using a word as an adjective or in some cases a simile

So it is saying in same way a cancer infects a person or animal and can be defined as a thing that spreads destructively or causes illness within a person then Robbie is considered to have a similar impact of causing destructiveness or figurative illness on the Wests Tigers as a club. Yes this generally uses hyperbole/exaggeration in the description but isn't offensive.

Sorry to get all Language Nazi but if you are going to make accusations around what other people are doing then facts are probably important

The best way to tell if something is offensive is to place your own name in context of the statement. I can assure you if people were calling me a cancer in my workplace I would certainly be offended.
