Great coach. Will be even better when he loses patience with a couple of our players.

Which players...?

How about one who has missed 16 of his 58 tackles. Thats a massive 27% of his tackles are missed.

Add 11 errors as well.

So just 1 player..?

It's a funny thing, you have people complaining that Madge misused his team and should have made different calls with the bench. Obviously Madge had a plan re Liddle and obviously he didn't think it was best to put Liddle on at his normal time.

Remember that Tigers were defending a lead, not chasing one, and yes Liddle is fresh but he's also not a defensive powerhouse. I can live with that decision.

But ultimately you compare the two rosters and it's no contest, Melbourne have recognised and tested strike power and talent across the park. Yet I think most pundits thought Tigers were overall the better side.

So Madge is coaching a limited roster to compete with one of the Top 3 sides. That smells like good coaching to me.

Or to put it another way, some fans want half the team dropped for bad individual performances, and yet those same players can push Melbourne all the way at home. 4 years running now, all games between Tigers and Storm (N=6) decided by 9 points or less.

@Madge must admit I was worried about him burning the boys out .....but I think we have had a major upgrade coach wise

Thanks for proving me wrong Madge

The good things is he will burn out the dead wood and replace with more hard nosed players who don’t mind hard training.

I remember thinking about twenty minutes in, "I bet Liddle doesn't get a run". That's probably what I would have done if we were leading, right or wrong.

@formerguest I actually thought Farah was replaced in the last 20 as Benji was in at dummy half heaps then realised Farah was struggling to get there ....and not taking the 2 in front was dumb ,chalk this lose up to the coach has to wear this one!

The coach wanted the 2 the trainer had 2 fingers up, it was an over ride from onfield, Benji I think

Madge has obviously got us playing better footy with some structure at last. If you can't see that, then you're blind. Our main goal this year is to just make the eight which we can build on in the next seasons under Madge with some recruitment. The coaching ability is definitely there

The way we played we beat most of the other teams last night ... Just hope Coach can get them back up for next week again with the same efforts

So there you go. As i said this a Premiership winning coach. he is not a muppet. He will only tolerate a 27% miss rate for so long.

Anything else you want to throw shade at?

These are the decisions that turn this club around. You should be happy yeah?

Lol yeah nah.

You asked a question, i gave statistical evidence highlighting the type of player he would lose patience with. Cant help you if you want to ignore that and just go on to who else should be dropped.

Furner is the best option but he’s after a first grade coach role he will sign with the weakest coach. Holbrook or O’Brien.
