LIVE GAME Magic Round v Sea Eagles

Live Game Discussion
Come on he barley touched him , again the refs got to play a roll , even though we were already done , NRL needs to pull these refs into line they are killing the game
I was replying to the question if you interfered with a player anywhere on the field would it be a sin bin?

The ruling today was that Mason did interfere with him, and was a chance of a try as no one was behind Mason. Whether he barely touched him, he still clearly did

You didnt answer the questions, no suprises. Valuable contribution as always.
Yes it was a sin bin. That’s my answer.
He purposefully impeded the chase of a player at speed who had the chance to contribute further to that play - it was a form of cheating which usually results in a binning for professional fouling your opponent.
Dumb play, not corrupt refereeing and it is the height of victimhood mentality to suggest otherwise.

Ref wasn’t great, however your comment is not correct.

Only ruled a professional foul (and therefore sin binning) as it was a try scoring opportunity. So no, not a sin bin no matter if it happened anywhere on the field.

He was 40 metres out, the ball could have bounced in any direction and there were other players competing.

Does every kick chase qualify as a try scoring opportunity? If Terrell May to kick and chase from our own 10 metre line but have alot of space, is that a try scoring opportunity too? Too many uncertainties.

I can see how the decision may have been a 50/50 in a regular game, but it wasn't a regular game, there were a myriad of obvious errors across the 80 minutes that went one way.

I understand but if you get a few bad calls and still let in 48 points then you are a mentally weak team. Do you think the Panthers blame ref calls when they are playing? They rest and stop the next set. This team folds like water. Missing tackles is one thing if you runup with intent. Sit back and miss tackles and your just a passenger.
Can't think of a time when panthers were given the wrong end of referring. not being fascious , genuinley dont recall seeing a game like that which i believe is part of the built in bias to top tier teams by refs. If Cleary challenges that strip call there is no way that it doesnt go the way of panthers.

I dont buy bagging Mason due to his height - If he had the speed of Jye Gray or Fa'alogo then he would be a weapon, fullbacks dont need height to be good.

But he doesn't. He is someone who tries hard and thats about it.

Hope on the other hand should not be playing again, his delivery is not 1st grade standard.
Mason’s defense needs to improve if he wants to be a fullback in nrl. Other abilities of his game I’ll give him a pass mark, but his defensive efforts are not nrl standard. Your teammates need to know that he’s there when the opposition breaks the line. I don’t really care how tall he is.

You are making up stories now. The ball did bounce and ended up right between the goal post. You not seeing that was a try scoring opportunity makes everything else you say seem biased

Once his time with us is done...his time is done.
There will be no nrl fullback for him

We all know this isn't a sin bin if it happens 100m from the try line.

Just saw today’s score as I have been riding the Great Dividing Range on the Adventure bike . I just heard this song today and thought these words in the song sums up our season this year quite well

Terry Jacks Seasons in the Sun

“We had joy. we had fun we had seasons in the sun But the hills that we climbed were just seasons out of time “
