LIVE GAME Magic Round v Sea Eagles

Live Game Discussion
So ur excuse is the nrl are telling the refs to give certain teams a better rub of the green , and to penalise other certain teams , just take the warriors game the broncos player done a hip drop , it was close to what api done yet no 10 minutes off the field , we will seen what he gets on Tuesday, I say bugger all
Obviously not what I'm saying. You either have compression issues or being deliberately obtuse.
We've seen multiple examples of injury affecting outcome (both on field and at judiciary). It's been discussed to death on this forum. It was also discussed in commentary. We've also seen adjustments to this throughout the season as well. Yet the general rule of injury effects outcome remains.
That is not considering the minor differences between each hip drop tackle and loading. But sure let's expect every hip drop to be adjudicated identically because you're to stupid to see the repeated messaging from the NRL.

I’m sick of hearing our blokes are angels being bullied by corrupt refs when the reality is they have poor discipline which is lead by their captains who are both woeful in that area of the game, a coach who constantly wipes their arses instead of kicking them and a fanbase who overlook our deficiencies in attack and defence just to carry on like world class sooks after every loss.
I agree man. I'm glad you agree the ref's are corrupt.
But I don't understand when you don't understand half our team is missing also because of the ref's.

Again. The top teams have less injuries and suspensions.

I expected better. I didn't hope for better, but I still expect blokes to make their tackles and hold the footy - basic stuff first.

However not just the injury toll, it's touch footy out there for every team. Not entirely sure what's the cause but it's cricket scores almost every game, teams getting blown off the park and not even the same teams every week, e.g. South and Sharks belt a team then get smashed then belt another side.

I reckon they may need to eliminate the 6-again, because whilst it was interesting for a while, it's highly discretionary, often arbitrary, and teams have become very brittle defending back-to-back sets, especially after a run of points. It appears teams have run the data and know kust what to do if they collect multiple ole repeat sets.

I don't personally want to see teams run away with it every game. Already this round:
38-16
32-10
46-18
18-12 - - > 1 decent contest
34-8

Last week
44-12
28-12
33-30
44-10
36-12
32-4
44-16
30-18

Almost entirely one-sided matches. 30+ scorelines are standard.
The 6 again seems to be a big part of the issue.

Compared with pre 6 again introduction:

- The 2026 competition is running at +10 total average points per game more
- Average winning margin is also +10 more
- The amount of teams conceding 50+ points in a game has also more than doubled (in 2025), and this season is on track to break a record.
- All of these stats have been trending upward since the introduction of the rule.

I think they definitely need to address this as the game is no longer balanced.

Yep, compare it to bat v ball in cricket.

Lose the balance the game turns to crap.

More importantly- how are the ref's missing.
I mean you blaming the players.
You saying the officiating is great?

What are you exactly trying to ask?
You said we have players missing because of the refs. I'm asking How is it the refs fault that we have players missing?

Am I saying the officiating is great? No, it's never been worse. But there are a few different layers to this discussion as well. Did you want to continue discussing the different layers or will I be wasting my time?

There’s a old saying u can lead a horse to water but u can’t make it drink , I think u fall into that category
