Magpies not playing before the Wests Tigers in Rnd 8???

Seems the Magpies have had their match against Cronulla relocated from Campbelltown Stadium to Leichhardt Oval for Round 8

Whats going on!

I was looking forward to seeing 3 games of footy at the upgraded stadium :smiling_imp:

Fingers crossed its to let the MAgpies ball side play their grand final there.
 
The way the state cup teams are treated is a bloody disgrace. The state cup officials from every team should get together and push for better conditions. bring all 3 grades back to the same venue on the same day..

Well I thought the Wests Magpies game was on the Saturday and the Wests TIgers game on the Sunday. I can't see why they couldn't have both games at Campbelltown.
 
Why are people suprised.

Campbelltown Council only wants the Wests Tigers - and don't accomodate to the Magpies requests… Why do you think the Magpies are based in Liverpool? Shame really. The junior reps represent the best to come out of the local Wests junior league and the council and Wests Campbelltown Leagues want nothing to do with them.

... I bet "we want to protect the surface for the Wests Tigers games" reason was given.

Well they have let the Wests Magpies play there for years so what has changed? Also doesn't Wests Campbelltown fund the Magpie juniors?
 
Not sure if it has been reported widely but after fighting tooth and nail for a decent amount of money and a smaller amount for Leichhardt CUA stadium has been given another 5 million dollar grant

So Wests Ashfield funds the sg ball and harold matts Magpies teams?
 
Funny thing the other game is also between the same two NRL teams playing that weekend.
