MAGPIES SIDE TO PLAY BEARS IN NSW CUP

Western Suburbs Magpies Coach Trevor Schodel has named his side to play North Sydney Bears at Henson Park on Saturday, April 21.

Henson Park will host the NSW Cup’s Inaugural ‘Foundation Cup’ presenting a Double Header of Rugby League featuring Foundation Clubs Newtown Jets, Balmain-Ryde Eastwood Tigers, North Sydney Bears and the Western Suburbs Magpies.

The Magpies will be taking on the Bears at 12.45pm in the hope of recording their first victory for season 2012.

Meanwhile, Western Suburbs Harold Matthews Team has progressed through to the second week of the NSWRL finals with a thrilling 23-22 win over arch rivals St.George Dragons last Saturday at Belmore Sports Ground.

The young Magpies play Penrith at 3.30pm. The match is a curtain raiser to the first ever NYC U/20s State of Origin Clash between NSW and QLD.

Do we see him as having potential to progress or has he been relegated to the Maggies team because we don't see him with any potential? It is unclear what these guys are playing for, are they after a WT contract or is there allegiance to the Magpies solely?

Are the Bears going to stack their side with Souths players this weekend?, should get a good guide to how the Bears are going this season as they play the other Magpies @ 5.30 on FoxSports2.
By the way, read today that the Magpies V Dragons game went well into O/T before the winning field goal in the Harold Matthews, a game and a half, yes 91 minutes, hope they aren't worn out after that effort.
